I was going to buy a gimbal because i want to make stable videos while walking or skiing, is the action mode in Iphone 7 a good substitute for a gimbal?

There is a clip where an angry fat lady runs Sideways filming her son in a foot race. Ironically she is faster than the kids in the race & plows through a bunch of other parents. That being said, the video looks stable but I hope that chick was arrested.
