Yeah, we know Bill Parcells said "You are what your record says you are."

But which to teams do you feel are not what their record says they are?

Better than record: Cardinals only because Kyler Murray is back

Worse than record: Steelers whose luck will run out any week now. Right guys? Any week now.

Bengals are a much better team than 5-4

[–] Fullofhopkinz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Worse than their record: the Panthers

[–] Darkwolfer2002@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Cardinals are better than their record. Eagles are definitely worse than there's.

[–] KnocDown@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Patriots here (2-8)

If we had an average quarter back we would be 5-5

If we didn’t have our defense we would be 1-9

The Steelers have been like that for a while. In 2020, they started the season 11-0, and everyone said, there's no way this team is really that good. They cruised into the playoffs and got bounced in the wildcard round.

Vikings and Texans are better than their record and the Steelers and cowboys are worse than their record

[–] JuanSpiceyweiner@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bengals are too up and down with a pedestrian defense that has zero pass rush outside of Trey Hendrickson. Some weeks we look like a true threat then we have games like the Tennessee game or Houston and just not good enough in the AFC to compete

At this point I have no idea what the Broncos are, but I'm hoping that the first few games of the season was a combination of rust from Payton being out of a locker room for a bit, and the team having new coaches and learning new schemes. Honestly, who knows. Other than the Chiefs, they haven't beaten any particularly good teams even since they started playing better a few weeks ago. And division rivalry games are weird, it seems like bad teams beat good division rivals all the time, probably because they know them so well. I guess we'll have to see how they do going forward.

RAIDERS RAIDERS RAIDERS.

I hate this sort of question, because it seeks to delegitimize good play from good athletes.

[–] Salty_Orchid@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We won't be making the playoffs but no team marks us as an easy win.

[–] jjb8712@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Patriots are worse than their record

Texans are better than their record

[–] slackator@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bengals and Bills

[–] KloppsTotts@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The Steelers and Eagles come to mine for being worse. Philly is probably the most overrated team in the league right now.

[–] palmmoot@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Panthers, we're much worse than 1-8

[–] blakepar12@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Buffalo’s defense deserves to probably be 10-0.
Its offense should be 3-7.

Bobcats are worse than their record

Not sure how the Steelers are 6-3 so that’s worse than record.

Denver at 4-5 is better than their record. They have improved dramatically. They have beaten 2 good teams and lost a couple of very close games that could have went either way. Also I’m bias.

I honestly don't think we are above average lucky, the Browns have definitely benefitted from more luck than we have especially from officiating

[–] Rocket_Autist341@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Texans are way, way better than their record.

[–] KnowledgeJunkie7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think 5-5 is right where the Colts belong, but interestingly, I think how we got there is wrong.

We should have beaten the Browns (+1).

We could have beaten the Rams (boneheaded penalty by our defense to keep their opening drive alive)

We could have lost to the Patriots (They had some bad penalties and those interceptions at the end)

We should have lost to the Ravens (-1).

So we'd still be here at 5-5, just in a different way.

[–] poeazx@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

how are the steelers 6-3.

[–] making-flippy-floppy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dolphins have only beat two teams with (at the moment) more than two wins. They have easily the weakest strength of victory in the league. They are not as good as their 6-3 record.

[–] AceWolf18@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Better: Houston

Worse: Probably us Jags. The offense has no rhythm

[–] Illustrious_Ad_5169@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Chargers, Bills, and Vikings take the cake for me. The first 2 are wasting talent because of coaching, the Vikings had a crazy streak of turnovers to start the season.

[–] fancyskank@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think the Jags are worse than 6-3. Not terrible, just 5-4 or so. I firmly believe that this team has the potential to be great but we just cannot play to our potential. Even when we are clearly better than a team we always let them back into the game.

[–] SnooMaps1910@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Niners are better than their record indicates.

[–] Efficient_Delivery47@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm just happy to be here

[–] Mrbubble274@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Better : 49ers are still a top tier team that were hurt by injuries

Worse: Jags are getting carried by very good coaching. Trevor Lawrence has not impressed me. Receivers have been inconsistent. They has some huge wins but i never watched a game and being really impressed.
