I've got the sony wireless ones with the microphones so I can either use noise cancelling or hear everything around me perfectly well. One of my favorite things is ignoring people who want me to sign something as I'm leaving the grocery store.
I do this too! Except I actually listen to music! Shocking, I know
Yep, do the same at work... my colleagues are boring af.
This is why I don't use airpods when I'm working on-site. Even if my hair was short enough that people could see that I had them in, they'd just keep talking like I could possibly give more than a wet fart about what they were saying.
Also people who talk to you as they walk by you clearly talking on the phone.
