It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Hello, I have a Napoleon gas fireplace that is controlled by a low voltage wall switch. It doesn't have a blower fan. I wanted to be able to control it remotely via a smart switch. There doesn't seem to be a straight forward solution. I did check the base panel and the wiring at the bottom of the fireplace. There are a couple of wall outlets but those don't seem to be connected or have power. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

If you have a wall switch that already works, just get this: ‘Made for Amazon Zigbee Smart Switch, Gen3.” I have the Gen2 and it’s brain dead easy. I hunted for a microswitch that was wireless and after a few failed attempts I just caved to getting this and it’s been flawless.
