I’d say start playing to Fields strengths, but I’d still feel like they’d go back to their way to start the season off next year. I’m out on believing in them…not much they can do the last few weeks to change that I don’t think

Play to their Quaterbacks strengths. It’s that simple. Let the most important position on the field play the way he’s most comfortable playing and open up the offense

The best thing they could to do to help the themselves and the Bears is resign. They are some terrible ass coaches. Theres so many problems with them, it’ll take another 5 years before they figure it out. Getsy’s playcalling is laughable and Flus is just one big head scratcher. Time to move on.

No redemption

Scheme around your QB’s strengths in order to give yourself the best chance to win. No one cares about how complex or advanced the scheme is if the QB can’t run it.

Trestman was fired after two seasons. But only because Emery was fired at the same time. The team was lost with little future. There was almost no leadership anywhere in the building.

Every other Bears coach under the McCaskeys has had 6, 4, 12, 3 and 4 years.

Flus and co are you not going anywhere. It’s not a coaches are the problem problem.

Flus needs to keep throwing in some blitz packages, even if the pressure does continue to get better with Sweat. Wish he setup some inside blitz packages and not just around the tackles to get in the qbs face. Also, have the DBs play closer coverage on the zone calls.

Getsy needs to consistently make game plans where he's giving Fields stuff that meets his strengths. He doesn't need to make Fields constantly moving after the snap, but Fields has been night and day when Getsy gets him going early with easy run calls, PA, bootlegs, etc. Getsy did that in the Broncos and WAS games, Fields got into rhythm and his confidence up, and it bled into the other pocket passing calls and him getting rid of the ball faster.

Getsy has shown over and over to turn into Nagy and keep going back to HIS conservative, boring offense instead of the other games he's called for Fields/Bagent where film analysts have given Getsy a ton of credit.

If we look decent in the Lions-Vikings-Lions-Browns gauntlet and finish with 6-7 wins, we'll have ended the season exactly as predicted, so it would feel a little reactionary to fire the coaches. That said, that's not very likely to happen. I'd also be all for us pulling a Cubs and going after a coach we really want, "fairness" to Eberflus be damned.

self-scout the offensive scheme, play-calling, and player strengths. make it fit what we have. we have PLENTY of strengths on offense. the doomsayers acting like we “just suck” dont know wtf theyre looking at. we have enough on offense right now to score enough points to win games. and as a Fields truther, i mean, unleash him or quit wasting his career and our time (and your opportunity)

They just have to win. If there bears some how in their last 7 games finish at least 5-2 or better where the defense looks great and Fields looks like the guy again I think the bears would be getting hype like the lions got last year going into next season. The narrative and vibes of a team can change quickly in the nfl depending on the losing and winning streaks that a team goes on. But we all know that will most likely not happen

I honestly think we take the staff for granted sometimes. Through so much adversity this year, they’ve kept the locker room tight, helped a rookie QB succeed somewhat, and we’ve seen development in our defensive unit. Not trying to defend them, just want to put some light on the positive things we’ve seen so far this year.

Adapt to the players you have. Eberflus has shown progression and adaptability on the defensive side of the ball. Getsy has shown he is reluctant to make permanent changes to his scheme to fit one of the most talented QBs this franchise has ever seen. Barring an sudden change of heart from Getsy, I’d stay the course with Wberflus and find a new OC. ESPECIALLY if the plan is to draft a QB, you cannot proceed with Getsy.

The Packer games week 1 sealed the deal for me on this coaching staff. Even more so looking at how bad the PackerBill's.

Eberflus has never beaten a winning record team. The Broncos at least beat the Chiefs and Bills. Eberflus has pretty much been blown out by winning record teams.

If the team was practicing what was being preached it would go a long way. I expected takeaways, sound tackling, low penalties, and discipline on defense at a minimum. You don't need super-stars for those things other than maybe takeaways. They have not delivered there at all. That's where it starts.

I want see them beat a few teams big and keep their foot on the jugular the entire time.

I want to see a come from behind win on the last drive.

Hey McCaskey, fire them all. Completely irredeemable after the absolute goatfucking incompetence on every level. We’ve all seen bad players and know when one guy can’t be relied on for much of anything (Jones, maybe), but when everything always sucks it’s the coaches. Eberflus is a moron and Getsy is a fucking fraud just like every other coach from Green Bay for the last 30 years.

Personally, I'd fire them unless they made the playoffs. That would mean everyone does enough to beat some really good teams. The offense would have to play like a top 10 team. Same with the defense.

What could they do to do that? Well offensively the play calling has been questionable so that needs to improve. After the number of times both JTO and Kurt Warner have commented on disliking some of the play designs, maybe get rid of those plays or maybe get a better scheme.

The defense probably should blitz more until we can get pressure without it. Or maybe get a better scheme.

But we all know Flus and Co will be back if they win like 2 more games, maybe even 1 more.

Force JF1 to stay in the pocket and prove he can be a real QB before we give him $$$$ and tie the franchise to him for 4 more years.

The defense needs to stop playing such soft coverage so that they actually have a chance to defend quick passes. That, more than talent, is why they can't get any sacks - Eberflus's defense never got any pressure in Indy either. There's always a quick outlet for the QB for even if they do get pressured, they inevitably have a place to dump it off.

The team has improved this year, which was always the goal. Talent is being developed, the defense is getting better, the OL and DL are gelling, and the DBs are starting to make plays. The big hitch seems to be the OC and the inconsistency on that side of the ball.

If they keep improving this year, keep fighting, I can see Flus keeping his job, and I wouldn't be mad about it, but a change in OC and DC.

IMO, Poles is doing what he said he would do. His picks are working, his acquisitions are producing, he is poised to be in the Pole position at the draft, and we have a shit ton of cap space for the FA market.

As an optimist, I would rather be the Bears now than the Vikings or the Packers...our needle is moving in the right direction.

By not making high caliber athletes look like dog shit. We have a great running back, great wind receiver 1, solid tight end and I believe a good quarterback. We should be a threat on the ground, through the deep pass, through the short pass and through our QBs legs. There’s no reason a defense should know what we’re about to do.
