I like the looks of it over the standard models.

The fact that you “see them everywhere” proved you wrong.

Its extremely better looking. I had two previous apple watches. The eco system is great. The ultra is just prettier.

Battery is not an issue for me. All my previous apple watches got me thru the day easy, only charge when sleeping.

I haven’t bought an Ultra, but it’s not very expensive compared to a 45 mm stainless S9: $749 vs $799.

Not having to charge it daily has made me wear it way more. I have it on all the time. Didn't even wear my regular watch much.

I wanted enough battery life that I didn't have to charge if I went on a weekend backpacking trip, and would still allow me to track my movements on a map. (WorkOutDoors)

Easy, the improved GPS for running, and the better battery life.

Shame the HR monitor doesn't work for me properly when running and I have to use a chest band.....

Battery, and the overall build were the draws for me when I jumped from a gifted s7 41mm

Zero regrets - love my ultra

The look - love the flat screen and design. The battery life. Titanium.

My precious versions were stainless steel so it didn’t even feel like I was paying more.

I still love my ultra in way I never LOVED my precious Apple Watches.

If you’re in a budget where the extra cost is meaningful to you, then those features might not be worth it.

I wanted a new Apple Watch, was on the Series 4 for almost 5yrs. Had some birthday money and a nice gift card I could use for it. Needed something to motivate me to get my ass “off the couch” and track my off the couch movement on whatever i do. All the other things, bigger screen, battery, speed, are obvious. Decided to just go for it and I’ve had the AWU2 for a couple weeks, yes, it’s been worth it for me.

the two main things for me would be the battery life and multi-band GPS, though really, Apple has no excuse for those things not being far better than they are on the Series 9 currently.

Battery life.

Because I had dabbled in the Garmin fitness watches before. Because I have larger wrists. I desired a larger watch, not a piece of jewelry.

Battery life.

Bigger screen. Don't have to focus much on the battery. Don't like the color options for the aluminum series watches since they got rid of black/space gray, SS a little too shiny for my taste.

I have to turn off cellular on my series 7 to complete some of my longer runs in my half marathon training programme. And then I need to charge it to get me through the rest of the day. I need the better battery life.

Battery life on the Ultra 1. Which continues with my flair.

Battery, screen size and the night mode were my main points. These were all things that stopped me from buying an Apple Watch earlier.

When it comes to Apple my attitude is if I’m going to buy their stuff I might as well get the best one

I liked the band, Alpine loop.

I was going to get a SS model when my S3 broke. Realizing that a SS model was $749 and I was probably going to scratch it up, I thought about the Ultra. I like the look of the Ultra with a Ti band as much as a SS with steel band.

In terms of the features, more durable is always better, and now never worrying about bringing a charger on an overnight is awesome. The other features are cool as well. I kind of see it like a dive watch, even if you only dive with it a few times it’s still a nice accessory to wear.

Looks. If the reg size Apple Watch came in brushed steel or titanium I’d go for it. I don’t like the polished appearance

Flat screen, battery life, straps

Battery life was a big selling point for me, along with more memory as I use my watch to play music in my AirPods while exercising, faster response, and not having to worry about buying a screen protector and or case. The battery life alone was worth the price, my Series 7 would make it barely 18 hours while using cellular and my daily routine, my Ultra lasts almost 70 hours between charges.

Liked the sized and the ruggedness of it.

My only complaint is that there isn't a black watch. Otherwise, it's IMO a superior product in every way outside of maybe looks which will be more subjective.

1. Battery life - I want to avoid charging my watch as much as possible as I'm a charging freak
2. Better display
3. Better durability
4. Want to get the "top of the line" as a status symbol
5. Futureproof

I don’t have one but it will be my next watch. Nice looking dive computers are more expensive than the ultra and the ultra is also an Apple Watch.

Major flex 💪 I LOVE mine.

For me it was the breadcrumb feature, hiking capabilities, especially with no cellular service anywhere in some parks/forest, precision for biking, i do plan to get a dive certification as my brother in law does it and used it for diving in Australia using the app that apple promoted and he replaced his old school dive watch and loves his ultra. I feel like most people are buying it for stupid reasons like or they want to look cool

Coming from the AW4, with no cellular , definitely an upgrade. No point of me getting regular AW. The ultra has sapphire glass, celullar already built in, titanium, and bigger screen, better battery life, i also love the modular faces, and flat screen. It also a newly designed apple watch compared to other watches. I had my watch for 5 years so definitely a good investment imo. Hoping to keep it longer for 10 years at least

I like the look and screen size

Battery life and screen size are the reasons I want it. But I've never bought anything more than the larger aluminum because there are not really any additional features in the more expensive watches to justify the cost. Boy would I love one of the stainless steel ones, but I feel like nearly $500 for a watch is plenty.

I like the way it looks. Yes it’s worth it. I went from a 3 to an Ultra and I’ll probably have this one even longer.

I can run an actual marathon without having to make temporary battery saving tweaks.

Dual pressing the action and side button to pause/resume runs is huge for me, especially since I can do it with my watch under a long sleeve shirt when running in the winter. Plus the titanium stays cool in the summer sun.

Battery battery battery. Durability. Able to actually use the apps, take some calls, keep features running with juice to spare. Worth it totally.

I bought it solely for the dive computer. All the rest is just an apple watch. I’m satisfied overall

I’m saving up for one now. Bigger screen is the only reason.

I exercise every day of the week. I go for 10-15 mile runs on LTE streaming and I can get through two of those back to back with two days of sleep tracking and still have a few percent left over. Battery fatigue is no longer a thing. Screen is big and beautiful and has stronger glass. No scratches is great

Large Wrist and Fingers, Battery life, titanium/sapphire, water resistance - so it was a no-brainer considering the price difference between ss/sapphire watch.

I’ve had the Apple Watch 6 since it came out. Every new watch that came out after that always felt only geared towards women. When they came out with the temperature sensor I thought wow that’s innovative, you’ll be able to get an early sign for when you’re sick…nope. Just an ovulation sensor for women again. I honestly don’t understand how the team at Apple that designs these sees slightly faster processor and a feature only geared to women as a great new innovation worthy of a new watch. What about the other 50% of your customers? When I saw the ultra watch s2 and the trade in value of my 6, I decided why not. The 9 doesn’t impress me much either, and if I’d already had the ultra s1 I wouldn’t have bothered to upgrade but I’m loving the ultra s2. Even for someone like me who hardly ever hikes or anything like that, I’m loving the extra screen space, the faster on device Siri, the modular ultra watch face and the amount of complications I can have on the screen.

I got the stainless steel. I like the ultra but it’s too big for me. Also I like the look of the regular watch better. Ss graphite looks really nice, I bring it to events too not just work and working out.

My main reason is I work outside. I had a series 6 that I was just going to continue on with when the Ultra was announced. Then my job changed to working outdoors in the middle of winter. The standard watch is rated for around 30 degrees (F) on the lower end while the Ultra is rated for -4 degrees (F). With temps in Michigan getting lower than that I decided to get the watch that would handle the environments I was going to be working in. It’s also proven to be very rugged for all the banging around I’ve had to put it through as well. No regrets at all.

I like hefty/big watches. I always had the top of the line while I was with android so it just made sense. Not even a flex just what I’m used to. All features and capabilities and such kind of thing for me tbh

Battery. But honestly I’m having second thoughts as I still prefer the Garmin I was wearing before I bought the UW.
