Good, sad we missed out on Marvin Harrison, but good

[–] Ghostface5000@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Like we are about to do the same shit over again and be worse off for it. Trade back to 2 for a haul, take MHJ and Olu and keep building.

[–] iamblue1231@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm not happy GB did something smart and took a cornerstone LT. Can they please do something stupid and reach for someone who ends up being a bust?!

[–] AndyThatSaysNi@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

1st off in terms of order: Top 3 probably are all there, though the order may be jumbled. There are also a bunch of 3 win teams still left. Our last 3 seem like winnable games, so that may bump our pick out of top 5.

If it does stand and those are the 2 spots we pick at: QB would be a must, either is fine, don't really follow college too much. We could probably stand to trade out of 5 and stockpile picks. They are already giving whatever QB enough time to make decisions. They are just not making correct ones. If they do pick and pick such a highly touted OT, that's totally fine.

Trade the #1 pick to the Texans for C.J. Stroud and then trade Justin Fields and the #5 pick to the Patriots for the #3 pick to get MHJ.

[–] Waderweeddunehair@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

To answer the initial question, hard. Out of curiosity what seperates Fashanu and Alt in terms of who is better?

[–] SayItKindly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

people. as of rn theres no reason to draft a QB. stop with this. its depressing!

Id almost be interested in doing what the Texans did with trading back UP for Will Anderson. Call the Pats and see about trading up to take MHJ after taking Caleb. I dont see the Pats taking MHJ at 3 at that point and can see them trading down in the draft to get more picks and take a QB later in the first. But if it shakes out like that i wont complain about getting the best O lineman in the draft. And as for having first overall pick, i think we take a QB with it. Only way i dont see us picking a QB is if Panthers win a few more games and our first pick is with Maye and Williams off the board.

I have a bears tattoo on my arm and multiple different jerseys, signed memorabilia, and other paraphernalia. I would add "X's" to the bears eyes, burn all my shit, and find a way to financially and emotionally cripple the entirety of the beara franchise

Plus jump ship to where ever JF1 goes too cuz dude is the guy. I would love the LT from Penn but MHJ needs to be our number one

[–] MilesTheGoodKing@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

LT is not as big of a need to spend a top 5 pick on the position when they need more secondary and DLine help.

[–] TonySxbang@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MAYE > WILLIAMS

[–] NewPrints@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Giants just committed to Danny long term. I think the current staff needs to see that out or they will see the door. They have enough holes that they need more than one pick. If they end up there they will trade out.

Packers also need a QB. This is as close as they will get to striking distance of a top QB for a while. If that is the order I see that Packets trading with the Giants to take a QB.

In 2024 Fields+MHJ + other first rounder is likely better than Williams/Maye + other first rounder. Rookie QBs playing like CJ Stroud are extremely rare.

In 2027, idk it feels like a tossup.

I think a lot depends on what Fields shows us in the next 7 games.

[–] JamesTiberiusCrunk@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'd feel great about it. Take a WR in the second. Take IOL in the 3rd and 4th.

[–] SaMemeM@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

See y'all in 3 years when we're in the same position with Williams because our offensive scheme is crap.

[–] VorpalSticks@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Why tf would the cardinals take Bowers over Fashanu

[–] nelsonmanboona@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I like the look of Penix, but it's based on gut feeling and nothing more 🤷🏻‍♂️🙃

[–] EnvironmentalBit2333@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Depends on who the WR 2 on the bears will be

[–] cubs_070816@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i don't want caleb. his stock is plummeting and i've seen very little that makes him automatically that much better than JF1.

draft harrison and fashanu, keep plugging the other holes, and hire a new coaching staff.

this is the way.

[–] Dry-Object8482@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hot take: take MHJ and Fashanu and grab the lsu QB second round

[–] sounds_like_kong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MHJ on a Brady-less Billichek nightmare of a club would be such a waste.

[–] hellraisersEZmoney@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MHJ or bust

[–] rt0rres@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Everyone would be complaining about Caleb for the next 3 years and he’d get replaced.

[–] sinisterkid34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MHJ or bust

[–] Adnonymus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If we have 1 and 4 or 5, I’d rather go CW and either Bowers or Nabers whoever is there. Need to give Caleb a stack of weapons so he can be successful right away.

[–] PeanutBear33@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If poles or ebeflus is around, bad

If a new gm and hc is making it. Great

Call me what you will but I am out on Caleb Williams after seeing hearing his demands and then watching him cry after losing.

MHJ and Olu + Field and Moore and KHjr/Foreman and Kmet is a solid Offense if coached by anything other than a moldy walnut.

[–] Ganjagod420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Anyone who complains needs to give their balls a tug

[–] WhoopieKush@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Absolutely ELATED. I don’t think a team has ever accomplished getting the #1 QB and #1 OT in the same draft.

[–] Mahoney419@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No...just no

[–] MaddNewb6258@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d go back into the hole i lived in for the Trestman & Fox eras.

[–] adamempathy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Trade down, get 2 of the 3 of MHJ/Alt/Fashanu, and another pick from a team that's going to suck again next year.

[–] Character-Newt-9571@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Maye over Williams. Mhjr over both

[–] Repulsive-Office-796@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I would so much rather us sign a FA QB than draft another one in the first round.

[–] TheLuo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’d feel like we wasted the #1 overall pick, took two steps backward in QB development and Poles would be on the hot seat to either magic up a playoff birth or be out of a job.

If I was looking to become a GM I’d start building a relationship with Bears ownership the day after the first round.

[–] almagest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Assuming Fields is bad to slightly below average for the rest of the year I am 100% all in on this.

If he's good to great, you maybe still take Williams and trade Fields. Or you trade down to 3 and take MHJ there.

[–] inorite234@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Trade the #1 to New England, get MHJ, keep fields on a one year contract and fire everyone!!!!

[–] GloriousGamma@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Take Harrison Jr and top OL
