Technically correct. The best kind of correct.

i don't know how to explain this but

i fucking hate modern car ... repair culture. that car looks 100% driveable and functional fish aside. but instead that's like thousands in repairs because the boutique part specifically for the 2012 line is rare and etc etc

like if your phone got dented a bit you'd go on with your life

but suddenly with this it's a huge fucking thing with companies and paperwork and money

I don't understand your anger, but I damn sure appreciate the energy.

[–] leetdood@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago

He's right though. that front end is made of like 50 parts that they need to order. Then you're paying some guy labor to put it on properly.

Used to be much easier, also less safe

I would not trust that bumper to stay attached or the hood to not take off at highway speeds. It might also be crosseyed at night. Needs some ducttape, at least.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

That would probably be written off in the UK

[–] PortableHotpocket@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

I just leave dents in my car. If it's functional, it serves it's purpose. I'm married, so I don't have anyone to impress with my car. Practicality all the way.

Russians left the space station door open again.

Mate thats a free dinner if I ever saw one

[–] ivanafterall@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is there such a thing as a free dinner? I know free lunches are a myth, but I've never heard the other meals addressed.

[–] TheBlue22@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

I meant like.. eat the fish

5 letter alternative spelling of a 6 letter word with a controversial past and present particularly in the US.

Jealous, I only run across a king salmonid like once every 1,000 runs.

[–] EnderWi99in@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

At least they can sell it to pay for some of the damages. King Alaskan Salmon ain't cheap.

I think you can use the markdown style embed

[–] blueskiesoc@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

I think it's broken at the moment. I tried to link something for you and it won't do it. Here's a description of what I tried to do. Under the reply area there are four buttons: ?, image/gif, language, and add comment. I selected image/gif and filled in the blanks, but....nothing.

[–] TheSaneWriter@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago

I don't think Lemmy supports embedded videos yet, just images.

[–] blueskiesoc@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Oh wait, looks like it did. I sent a screenshot. Give it a try with your gif. Nothing will show up until after you hit send.
