There’s not going to be a change due to their secrecy even if they fired him. Been on 17 and didn’t find the experience to be bad since the dev beta came out in June. It’s just waiting until you have the telemetry of software interacting with hardware you don’t always catch. Besides most complaints are using apps that aren’t natively written in swift so even the apps have to wait for their tools to get proper sdks
Apple
A place for Apple news, rumors, and discussions.
They will likely change the design to something thats includes elements from VisionOS. There are already signs of it in iOS 17. The action button settings or the context menu in iMessage comes to mind.
If they manage to include AI even more who knows what the future will bring to iPhone and Apple Watch. Watch could benefit a lot from AI as seen with Humanes Ai Pin
I hope these “ambitious” new features aren’t so demanding they cripple my device’s performance.
I just want to change icons
The best iOS ever!!! Like iOS 9, 10,11,12,13,15,15,16,17…. 🤷♀️
Neural Engine ( before ) after iOS 17 Fenix penta motion ultra Max Ai !!!!!!! But remember 1450€
We heard this exact thing about iOS 17… “it will be focused on stability instead of features.”
Well….. here we are
macOS on iPad? 🤡
Give me AI, better notifications, and for the love of god - split screen apps.
I just want real multitasking for Stage Manager for iPadOS 18, like it’s being used everywhere else since 30 years ago. The steps in the right direction are clear, but distance to real multitasking still far far away.
They should do the same as in2019. Focus on Quality over features. That years iOS release retained a longer list of older devices because it was polished so well. Supposedly the iPhone 5/5C was used as the baseline testing hardware. Then every newer model that version of iOS supported just improved in pure perfomance.
iOS 17.0 was barely out when 17.1 was already being pushed for release. Thats not a good sign.
There’s a lot of low hanging fruit for LLM integration with mobile devices. OpenAI doesn’t have a mobile OS to integrate with, and Apple doesn’t have an LLM. It’ll be much easier for Apple to make an LLM than for OpenAI to make an OS.
When was IOS ground breaking last time? Every year same marketing
Pretty sure they said this last year and the year before too
Is that… Chief Keef?
