How reliable is the walking directions for Apple Maps on the Apple Watch SE? (alien.top)

To preface, I’ve never owned an Apple Watch.

Planning to buy a new SE Apple Watch GPS, mainly would be using it for walking directions as I’ll be travelling soon and would like the ease of access getting around with a watch not having to look at my phone for directions.

Can you use the watch to get directions from trains and buses, is it accurate?

I don’t wanna spend money on this watch if it can’t get me around efficiently.

Appreciate any replies.

I have a series 7 and used it tons this summer in Hawaii! It was perfect with my air pods so I didn’t have to try and look at my phone in the sun!

I only used it a few times, but recently I used it on foot and its pretty good. Not having to check my phone everytime is awesome.
