I like it. where can I find it?

[–] FixMyEnglish@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

How did you get the date?

[–] IL0veZombies@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

You do you. But I feel like that defeats the purpose of having a smart watch

[–] Overall_Lobster823@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was exactly what I was going to post. Word for word.

[–] hesselbom@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well, you inspired me, dear stranger. This is now my Watch face also!

[–] _blacktuxedo_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You are welcome πŸ‘Œ

Good for you, reading time with just dials pops my eyeballs out. Am good with Numeric watch faces.

[–] Psychedelic-o-Moose@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

You got the stainless version and then use a rubber band as a strap. 🀨

[–] Blaize122@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have the Hermes edition and use a rubber strap like 80% of the time.

Beautiful combo, would like to get that band someday

[–] Romon2002@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (7 children)

Always wondering, how people can understand what exact time with such watch faces. Minimal is good, however found that modular watch face is way better for this.

[–] sepstrup@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes I would also prefer some lines or dots to separate hours and 5 min intervals

[–] kamilo87@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes, we should have that option on many faces. I mostly have to use a complication every time someone ask me the time…

[–] _blacktuxedo_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

In fact, you mostly don't need to know the time down to the minute. If necessary, I will use a digital watch face.

[–] FearTheReaper73@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Most people like to know the exact time, you know. That’s why they wear a watch.

[–] Makegooduseof@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Holy hell, I came here to say something along these lines and you got downvoted this much?

I’m with you - the only times I need HH:MM:SS on my watch face is when I’m angling for a concert ticket or signing up for some class somewhere that has limited seating. I admit that I prefer digital most of the time, but I don’t diss analog just because I can’t get the most precise time.

[–] Neuromancer2112@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I prefer modular also, and is my standard watch face. It gives me digital time so I don’t waste time getting the info I need at a glance.

Having a bunch of complications (including current temperature) is a great feature to have as well.

[–] NickHoadley@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Experience I suppose, can tell from a glance that is 20 to 2

[–] Blaize122@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I could tell from this comment you were British (I am too for what it's worth). I think we are just better practiced with this stuff than the Americans. Can't speak for mainland Europeans cause I don't know.

Fully agree. Such faces are beautiful but if you need to really know the time then they suck. If you just need a ballpark then perfect. I'm a teacher and my lessons are carefully planned down to the minute. I would never be able to use a face such as this. It would be a prime example of something being beautiful but useless. A very expensive bracelet.

[–] robogobo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I rarely need to know the exact time. When I do I swipe from minimalist to a digital face and then back.

[–] _blacktuxedo_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah right. In normal life, normal day, I just need to know it's about 1:40 or about 1:45.

[–] The_Woman_of_Gont@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not in OS10 you don’t.

I use Numeral most of the time, it is exactly like that one but with a giant number for the just the hour, it is so easy to read, looks great and saves battery

[–] The_Woman_of_Gont@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wish the number was the opposite. I don’t need the number for hours, I rarely am unsure what hour it is, but my big problem with these sorts of faces is it’s too ambiguous about the minute.

[–] chris95x8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Love the look. Just added it to my watch as well but it takes me at least 3 seconds to read the time lol

[–] andrew_stirling@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That’s 3 seconds you coulda been doing something else πŸ˜‚

[–] flyakker@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Like scrolling through Reddit

[–] _blacktuxedo_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

you will get used to it in half a day, if you like it

[–] Makegooduseof@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

In my experience, unless you get so focused into a task for hours on end (which can definitely happen), you tend to remember the hour of the moment. So you can just look at the minute hand and gauge the time.

[–] ste-f@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Looks great, just added to my watch

[–] queen_debugger@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I thought, and now wish, this was the opposing β€œdown” option for the Always On Display. Raised: all the info. Down: minimal, non obtrusive and more like a normal watch.

[–] Estebandaniel@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

I’m like complete opposite. If I’m carrying a computer on my wrist it better tell me the weather, sun time left, hydration level and some nuclear coordinates lol

[–] sigtrap@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Same. Wayfinder all the way.

Whats the name of the face watch?

[–] danielefrn@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s called β€œSimple”

[–] gusarking@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is it 2:40?

[–] robogobo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I use only this one and Artistic, depending on the mood. I do wish artistic showed the date somewhere.

[–] Kooky_Cow_8606@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I always feel it's a crime to pair a stainless steel Apple Watch with a rubber wrist band

[–] overheat76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Just buy a watch from Casio ! XD

β€œTruth, after all, wears a different face to everybody, and it would be too tedious to wait till all were agreed.” β€” James Russell Lowell

[–] 49thDipper@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I keep this one too. Sometimes simplest is best.

[–] Pencelvia@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have hard time telling the exact minute with that watch face, I need to be specific on sample time for my samples lol

[–] Franks_and_Beens@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This looks so clean but I have no idea what time it is 😩

[–] Daryltang@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I use infograph to show 8 complications during the day and a simple face for nighttime

[–] eskie146@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All you need is a gold dot at the 12 position and you’d have a Movado.
