I actually just picked up this laptop from Best Buy yesterday. If you make the same configurations on Apple, the price is over $100 more. I think that’s a great deal, plus I got it with zero interest financing for 24 months! Can’t beat that. As for whether this vs an M3 MBP, I think it’s mainly preference. This laptop would probably be able to multitask better because of the added RAM, but I’d imagine the M3 computes quicker. I went for the bigger screen lol.

It’s as simple as: What do you want more?
- better display and speakers, better cooling system, and better chipset: go for the M3
- more ram: go for the air
As for if it’s a good deal? That’s subjective. You can get a refurbished M1 Pro, with better specs, better display, better everything if you can find one. But then not everyone is okay with a refurb device.
Tell me your use case and I’ll give a recommendation.
For a MacBook it’s about the best deal you will find. They do not go on sale often and when they do it’s for like $100-$250 off so if you want it, I’d snag it now.
