There is a lot of Zionist and general right-wing presence on campus. I've only otherwise seen a protest notice when the Iranian government was cracking down on its population. Someone tagged all of the main sidewalks and left fliers around describing the genocide, announcing a protest this afternoon in front of the main student building.

I'm curious as to who's doing this. We only have a DSA chapter locally and they haven't seemed to mention it. The nearest PSL chapter is an hour away. The only other radical org I know of is an anarchist militia/mutual aid one which doesn't have a local presence either.

I work at a major university, generally pretty left though, I have seen nothing but pro-Palestinian posters and slogans all over. In my town someone has put flyers around with the number of dead in Palestine since October 7th, no one touches them, but people have torn down pro-Isreali posters. Young people not connected to any political movement seem to be serious about this, I've never seen this amount of 'political' activity since living here. As long as I've known about the conflict in Palestine I've seen the majority of leftists be on the right side of the conflict, but I've never seen this amount of support or recognition from 'normies' if you will.

Since the attack on Oct 7th, people who may have heard of the issue but didn't have much concern are actually looking into the situation and realizing how horrific it is, and how guilty Isreal and it's supporters are.

There's a big evangelical/Mormon/agricultural community presence here. I've seen one poster for a communist/anarchist reading group that was taken down, and otherwise the YDSA has posters go up for things like elections/meetings. A few weeks ago I saw one about stopping Cop City in Georgia. Otherwise most posters are an evangelical church recruiting, a concert, or some upcoming holiday.

It's depressing. I'm supposed to be radicalised by Marxists here and there's no Marxism despite paying a lot of money for the degree.

Protest update: 100~ on the Palestine side, five zionists holding an Israeli flag that they can't manage to keep lifted in the wind. I see one formal zionist organiser in some sort of uniform and no org presence on the Palestinian side.

Edit: the zionist org- https://www.nbn.org.il/
