Real test for our defensive line is coming. 2 of our next 3 games are against Detroit… that oline is no joke!

I’m 1000% ready to see fields back out there. They had Bagent over thinking shit so bad he was not noticing wide open receivers… looked eerily similar to JF1 earlier this season. Something is MAJORLY wrong with how this offense is being run, but that isn’t news.

[–] onemanwolfpack21@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Is it too early to just go ahead and say that they will fail that test?

[–] Per_se_Phone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Yes! I swear there was some hesitancy with Bagent that wasn’t there before. Was it coached in?? - early in the game, even on open throws where he’d already decided to pull the trigger… that brief hitch. Also reminded me of Fields, too.

They each have their own flaws (and JF does hold the ball in his own), but something last night just struck me as a bit too similar. What are Getsy and Janocko doing over there??

Throwing all those picks less than a week ago is going to make him more cautious regardless of what the coaches said.

Losing this game would have been far more painful as we would be discussing how it bad it is for 10 days.

Secondary still looked bad to OK

Sweat making presence felt

T Bag 1H performance made me want to kms

Panthers coach went full on moron kicking a 59 yarder

Too many penalties

God bless Amazon for having “record” mode so I can start whenever.

DJ Moore, man. In an awful season with bad-to-mediocre QB play and an offensive scheme that routinely misuses or underutilizes him, he busts ass, stays positive, and finds a way to make crucial plays. I hope he never leaves Chicago, but I also hope he goes somewhere else and wins like 12 Super Bowls.

[–] Goozy89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Happy we got the win but I’m confused why the defense is getting praised. On my end it’s more of, “yeah, that’s what you should be doing against poverty offenses regardless” haha

[–] TherealPattyP@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We be sucks. Hopefully JF1 balls out soon

[–] MattNagyisBAD@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I saw a “13” standing back there at the goal line during kick off. I had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn’t a “12.”

After that, I didn’t care what happened for the rest of the game. All was right with the world for a brief moment.

Eberflus does not look well. He has aged ten years in the last month. He looks like a sweaty clammy mess on the verge of a heart attack or nervous breakdown. For the sake of his health he should step down.

ESPN Get Up is already beating the drum of Bears should hire Jim Harbaugh. Jfc

Let’s gooo

[–] onemanwolfpack21@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Our UDFA QB just beat the #1 overall draft pick QB. That was the storyline I wanted to hear more about. Oh, and we get their 1st round pick. The fact that Young is looking bad sucks for the Panther fans. We know that feeling. Last night had to be an extra kick in the nuts. I don't wish that on the Panther fans. I hope next year, Young balls out.

Me after the Bears narrowly win a game at home against the worst team in the NFL: Are the Bears good?

My desire to be a meatball is so strong.

First game in years that I barely watched, the Blackhawks played a great game and I was just more into it. Then I just kind of fell asleep when it was clear how lousy of a game it was… feels weird to not care about every little thing with the team right now but maybe it’ll come back if we can look competent down the stretch. It’s been a really bleak season and a half, but glad they won.

The fake toss / jet sweep to Scott was really cool. Also good to see that dude on the field more, he’s starting to look decent.

[–] Unabridgedversion82@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

One of the more coherent play designs Getsy has ever had imo

[–] Ogr384@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bought time the crap field helped us. Pinero definitely slid on that kick.

[–] nilocdnarbreh@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He wasnt hitting that regardless…his shrug after it said everything lol

[–] Silver_Harvest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Probably the only meeting ever to occur between the Hamon Hill recipient and Heisman resulted in the Heisman losing and getting out dueled.

What we need more of is Kelces. Let’s just watch a Kelce reality show instof football games.

[–] patchinthebox@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I can't wait for Fields to get back.

[–] artevandelay55@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

So we're absolutely not getting the 1 & 2. Panthers still have games against the titans, bucs, falcons, Packers, so it's very much in the realm of possibility they could blow our #1.

I absolutely do not think we should be taking a QB. I'm going to assume once Fields comes back we win a few games and will probably end up in the 8-12 spot given our remaining schedule.

So what do we do in the draft? If MHJ is there I think you have to take him. MHJ and Olu is my top choice. Second choice would maybe be take Olu and Bowers? I'm not sure Bowers would fall to close to 10 though.

[–] pouch28@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We play the Lions, Vikings, Lions, Browns. Maybe we are favored vs the Vikings. But I think it’s likely we are probably a 4-10 team. If that happens we just need to tank against the Cards, Falcons and Packers. And I hate the idea of tanking to the Packers. But screwing them out of a hire draft pick is a better FU than winning a meaningless week 17 game.

I like winning on Thursday nights. Frees up my weekend, and this sub isn’t as much of an absolute cesspool.

[–] AccuratePassion2572@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Bagent went 2-2, exactly what he needed to do as a backup, now Fields needs to step up and prove he's the starter of the future

[–] lefthighkick911@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This was a decent game from Bagent (not screwing up, managing the game). He's probably about as good right now as the #1 pick in the draft, so hats off to Poles for trading the pick and taking a chance on an undrafted DII walk on.

Hard to have any optimism around Fields, his numbers have tanked and he's shown no improvement. I don't know what people expect to happen. He clearly has better physical tools than Bagent but I put them about equal as far as reading the defense and knowing where the men are, and that's not good considering Bagent only had like 4 games.

[–] Jorikstead@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bagent’s post-game interview was so fire. The NFL has to figure out how to keep him and his dad involved with the league. Maximum charisma.
