If I paid €1400 for a device which came like this, that's an instant RMA. Send that shit to your refurb store Apple, you're overcharging me already anyway

[–] Formal_Advertising95@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

no way you are complaining about that?

[–] PeterChen5566@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s not a dent. That’s a feature.

[–] AggressiveSpot5139@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For 2k, I would return it

[–] Mediocre-Gap-1488@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Try putting it in a bowl of rice overnight.

[–] IceKream_Sundaze@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At least that can be considered something new on the phone compared to last year's model

The right thing to do is to not accept unless flawless. This will give Apple the feedback they require.

I saw a youtube review with the same blenish but on another part

[–] The_Cozy_Burrito@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

I wouldn’t be happy with that for the amount of money I spent.

What do people do if there’s no return policy in their country?

[–] holychrist101@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Its so small you have to zoom in on it. Just enjoy the phone.

Me crying this happened go back to Apple if you purchased recently the return period has been extended to January 8th for the holiday season so if you bought some days ago go get a exchange , Apple is generally very understanding

[–] Silent-Yogurtcloset4@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

It’s of no use now, give it to me

[–] rpool179@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No sarcasm, no quirkyness, just a straight up "give it to me" request. Gotta love it 😂

Apple QC isn’t what it used to be.. Sometimes people only find out after using it for a while and not able to get it swapped for a new one. We get it. It’s a cosmetic issue and doesn’t affect its functionality. But come on.. We paid a grand for that piece of tech. Shouldn’t we expect flawless hardware outta the box 🤷🏻‍♂️.

sorry just ranting here folks.. ha ha my 14 pro got a few defects as well but it’s too late when I found out about it.

[–] ItzTravie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

lol omg that would annoy the hell out of me

[–] ShantyTed89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My new pro max is spotless. My Spigen case covers that area. I’ll never see it again.

[–] Jozex21@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

if u have apple care used it.

[–] cosmicpracticaljoke@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For the price paid I’d take it back and get another one.

[–] Beneficial-Appeal-98@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

So return it. There's nothing we can do for you.

[–] frosted_frosting@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

If I was you I’d contact them and try and get some money back or a replacement. Why not.

[–] RustBucket-@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Replace it. No questions asked. If this came out of the box, you should have it replaced. Don't settle for less. Paying for thousands of dollars just to get a scuffed device out of the box is not an option imo. Just have it replaced, don't be so forgiving to Apple. They're a trillion dollar company lol.

[–] gautam1991@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Totaled. I’ll happily take this off your hands for the lovely price of free

[–] zenzitto@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Throw it on the ground so it’s not the only dent. One is the loneliness number.

If it’s really out of the box I’ll go to the nearest apple store to have them replace it asap.

[–] AntonioRadosav@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] Agreeable_Regret_162@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Lucky fellow

[–] singleandavailable@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah get it replaced. For the price you pay there should be no defect. Moft sent me a case and there was a tiny defect on it and like you I could have brushed it off but it was an expensive case so I complained, and they're sending a second replacement for free. So yeah you might end up with 2 iPhones 😁

[–] No-Original-5121@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

True, I should not happen, ESPECIALLY for the money, but it will get damaged like that within a month man, enjoy

[–] BurnedOutInGaming@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Should return it why not

[–] Natural-Assist-9389@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Really? Can you take a picture of it?

[–] probotzor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Return it. You paid money for a brand new product in perfect condition.

[–] Venomous3005@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You’ll get micro scratches like this even with a case pretty soon, don’t worry about that

[–] Michaleq24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

oh, that's horrible... who cares?

[–] CerveloUK@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Could be someone else’s returned item?

[–] Senior-Mas@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I got a crazy amount of downvotes for saying this…but I upgrade every year and buy 2 phones (returning one). About 50% of the time my phone is perfect in every way, however 50% of the time their is some sort of defect most common I’ve seen are scratches/dents, touch screen dead spots, screen color issues (too warm color wise or choppy), and most recently memory issues.

[–] ColonelSpudz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Take it back no way would I stand for that.

[–] Nickvec@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

About as “first world problem” as it gets haha

[–] lostmybogroll@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)
[–] Sad_Abbreviations575@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

return it so they can improve quality control

[–] PmMeYourMug@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Why do people still buy these after Jerry showed what happens when they are put under mild stress.

[–] dammitjohnny_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

It’s not mild though lol

You really needed to come to Reddit and post this to ask strangers about your next step? Yikes bro, just return it or get over yourself already. It’s a phone, not an art piece you’re putting on your wall for a few decades.

[–] BlubberKroket@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You can live with the dent, unless you're the one idiot who doesn't use a case. The real mindfuck is how this happened, and what else is waiting for you, especially you who live in a country with bad Apple support.

[–] Conscious_Opening_62@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think you need to really re-examine your priorities in life… life isn’t perfect.. You could be living in Ukraine or working 100 hour weeks in a sweatshop. May this minute mark on your iPhone be a reminder to you of this.

[–] paulschofield_76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's been happening to me for years, I've even had iPhones with noticeable scratches on the screen straight out of the box. So I guess it looks like their quality has slipped if it's still happening. I know people will say there's bound to be the odd one that slips through, but going from memory I've had 11 iPhones including reolacents for defective ones, and 6 had damage straight out of the box

[–] Illustrious-End-5547@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

U wouldn't bother ? U fukinf spent 1000$ and can't get a finished product ,either you are high or you have money flowing frm ur ass
