Seriously, it's like these dudes are fed agitators trying to get all ebikes banned or something. They just cannot help themselves and are drawn to exclusively riding in places they are illegal, instead of using any of the copious number of spaces designated for dirtbikes.

Yeah, that is true. They're just way more smug about it on MTB trails and stuff than dirtbike dudes, as though their dirtbike being electric makes it different somehow.

Fucks everything up for actual class 1 or 2 ebike riders so badly. When I go shopping on my Aventon abound, I get yelled at occasionally on sidewalks and paths, often by people who are passing me.

Like bro I am going maybe 12 km an hour just cruising around in a municipality where I am required to ride this bike on the sidewalk, but it's impossible to just stop and explain that to people which sucks. If I could take the time to explain or if people would just assume that other people are acting in good faith, the world would be so much better. But no, the world is full of assholes who deliberately do wrong stuff to piss other people off.
