I dont notice anything, i have a S9

[–] danzachry@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Easily go all day, ~20% lowest. Takes about a hour to charge. A quiet day, in low power mode, 60%.

[–] Knooze@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

57% Last charges 8:44pm last night. It’s 1:44pm now. So that’s 18hrs now with the latest patch.

Apple ruined Apple Watch.

It’s either a battery needing replacing (meaning replacement Watch via AppleCare) or a brand new watch. Or just certain apps are really causing issues. This whole thing is very peculiar. My series 8 with a whole bunch of random third party apps never had an issue with the 10.1 update and same with 10.1.1 battery life is still solid at 91% battery health.

I also noticed decline in battery life. It used to last like well over 24 hours now I have to charge it every 24 hours

Force restart: keep both buttons pressed until you will see the apple logo (10-15 seconds)

[–] mnt9@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What version of watch are you all using? Is it just affecting some series? I’m on Ultra 2 and haven’t noticed more drain yet.

[–] Beaker360@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Overall battery life on my Ultra 1 was 100%. After being a battery drain victim of the 10.1 debacle, I updated to 10.1.1 and my battery life jumped down to 97%….because of their IOS F-up. How did that go unnoticed in all of the beta releases!?

[–] rubins7@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Reset fixed my drain problem.

Same here. I’m not updating after this 🤣

[–] gord89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mine is worse.

[–] CurlyNeurosci@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes! Battery life took a nose dive. I have the series 9 watch and the battery life was phenomenal. Since 10.1.1, awful.

[–] 7heblackwolf@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No, didn't noticed too much battery drain prior the update, but now it's 2% per hour on average on me 2nd gen SE. Which is insane to get 50 hours on theoretical max.

[–] Rom2814@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have the original Ultra.

I updated this morning and took it off the charger at 8:45 - was at 76%.

I’m at 48% now at 7:10 pm.

I tracked two workouts (44 minutes total) and otherwise haven’t used it for anything other than time and notifications.

So lost about 28% in 10.5 hours… I can’t tell if that’s good or bad anymore.

All I know is that when I got it I could get fully charged while taking a shower and getting ready for work - I haven’t been able to since version 10; ever two or three days I am close to a dead battery by bed time and have to leave it on the charger overnight.

[–] RobertPrado@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ultra 2 here. Before 10.1, it was excellent, 3 to 4 days. 10.1 got worse, 2 days max. 10.1.1 is excellent again

[–] InkdScorpio@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have two series 5’s. I used to wear each for 12 hours. Giving me 24 hours of heart monitoring using a special app (medical reasons). The previous update cut that down to 8 hours. And now since this update my watches are only lasting 4-6 hours. It’s ridiculous.

[–] plazman30@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I put my watch on at 7:30 AM. It's now 10:02 PM. Battery is at 62%. I'm on Series 9.

[–] AliveButterscotch319@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The only time I had battery drain issues, I found podcasts and music were stuck trying to download a bunch of stuff in the Apple Watch settings app

[–] LukasAppleFan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What about your battery health guys ? My S4 used to even shut off at low percent and the battery life was quite bad after watchOS 10. It had 82% battery health. Had no choice but to replace it by Apple. And now it’s night and day. I slept with it and it’s at 88% percent.

[–] RICO61927@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I actually had the best battery since having my se2. I took off the charger around 12:30 didn’t put it back on the charger until 0730 the next day and had 50% battery remaining.

Series 7. I thought it couldn’t get worse and battery is way worse on 10.1.1

[–] 100_Gribble_Bill@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mine seemed like it was draining a little quicker than normal on 10.1 but holy shit 10.1.1 is terrible so far.

[–] Gievranne@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fkng apple just ruining everyones day after an update. Fk you apple

[–] zet77@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Actually improved on my series 6, not by much but still a welcome improvement

[–] phuongzzz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

10.2 might be better. I faced this issue with 10.1 and then upgraded to 10.2 beta and got better battery life

[–] sm00thArsenal@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah, I’m going to give 10.2 a go, it might be as bad but I can’t imagine it will be worse.

[–] esamoth@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I removed the pairing from the watch and then restored a backup, then completely reset the watch without restoring a previous backup and configuring it as a brand new watch

Well, despite all this, the battery drains at a crazy speed, I can no longer even record a night’s sleep without recharging it on my way home when before I could do it, I usually had 40% battery left.

[–] BigBoyObi-Wan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i’ve always had my watch last all day, and it’s an se, but yesterday for the first time, i was at like 10% at around 12:00 pm. crazy

[–] IskandarBwefar@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Same here. Didn’t have any problems, updated my Ultra 2 to 10.1.1 and the battery level took a plunge. 🪫

[–] quasicharlie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don’t know if it’s worse but if the intention of the update was to fix the battery drain issue, it didn’t fix it for me. 🙁
