Billy Sims. I remember him as a kid and was awesome until he got hurt early in his career…then phhhft! It’s over. It’s why don’t begrudge anyone trying to get paid; their careers could end at anytime…
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
Willie Thrower could have been up there with the best of them with the right coaching
Kijana Carter. Dude was going to singlehandedly run the Bengals to multiple Superbowls, I know it!
I think D’onta foreman any time before like 2010 is an mvp caliber running back.
I’m biased but if anyone other than Brad Childress got a hold of him I think Joe Webb could’ve had a much more involved career. Go Blazers.
Percy Harvin
I would love to peak into the timeline where Wentz didn't get injured. Do we still win it all? Does he win MVP?
Sam Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater, Antonio Brown, RGIII, Josh Gordon
Reuben foster
Joe Delaney. Literal hero.
I thought Lofa Tatupu was on a HOF trajectory but the injuries just kept piling up.
Dominick Davis RB Texans- was a monster recording 1300+ yards each season for his first 3 years in the league- and then poof his career ended.
Could you imagine what Julio Jones would’ve been without all the nagging injuries?
Johnny Knox
Sterling Sharpe. It was so dominant in his prime. I always thought that he was better than Jerry Rice.
Peyton Hillis. Guys a hero too
JaMarcus Russell
David Wilson from the Giants
Justin Fields. It's not over, but getting drafted by the Bears put him way behind. I hope he can figure it out or find a place to thrive.
JK Dobbins 😭
Obligatory Bob Sanders
Always thought RG3 could have been great but unfortunately the Redskins had nothing but him at the time a drove him into the ground
Jason Pierre Paul. He was crazy good until he blew his fingers off with fireworks.
Andrew Luck
Dennis Pitta felt like he was developing into an all-star TE. The chemistry he developed with Flacco during the years around the Super Bowl was incredible...Then the career ending hip injury happened.
Martavis Bryant if not for the stupid weed rules. Glad he is getting a second chance
Aaron Hernandez. Could have been an all-time unstoppable TE duo with Gronk. Showed flashes of greatness together.
Sadly, gangs and murder and CTE combined to erase that brief brilliance on the field.
One that comes to mind recently is Jason Verrett.
Dude was a 1st round pick and just got the most brutal series of injuries. He's only had 2 seasons where he's played more than 6 games. The one full season he played with the Niners (14 games) he made the pro-bowl.
Next season like week 1, ACL.
I think he's signed to Houston's pracrice squad, but to be CB is tough enough...with 2 surgically repaired knees and a surgically repaired Achillies at 32 years old...could be tough.
Just a shame though, dude could have been a top CB in the league for years had he been healthy.
Aaron Hernandez could have been a hall of famer if not for one bad night.
Aldon Smith for sure
Dorial Green-Beckham. Wide receiver from Missouri
