I used to be able to do that, I hope this update will bring it back

Awu2 fully charged yesterday at 22:10 with sleep tracking this morning only lost 3% which was 10% before the patch. Quite the improvements

I recently switched from Ultra to S9. I realized, even when I travel, I recharged my Watch every night. I end with about 50-60% every night when I put it on the charger. Medium usage, mostly for timers, notifications, exercising, and checking off to-do lists.

series 4 user here - i get about a day with mine, have to put it on the charger every night but i dont like to wear watches while sleeping because i sweat and it makes my wrist and the watch smell bad. i use the workout features and its still a really solid watch in 2023

Don't run your watch that low. RIP capacity. Charge it no lower then 35.

I get 84 hours out of my awu2. Normal use. Always on display is turned off.

Yes battery life is much better in 10.1.1

[–] THATS_LEGIT_BRO@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My AWU2 battery is actually better on 10.1.1. On 10.0 and 10.1, battery was depleting around 30% every 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, with 2 indoor workouts, it only depleted 22%.

(no cellular, no AOD, no Pulse Ox, no noise monitor)

That's a lot of running. Have you considered ultra marathons?

[–] beanie_0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

10.1.1 is out to fix that.

What are people’s thoughts on the 20-80 rule?

[–] According_Road_6824@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

i follow this, and my ultra 1 after over 1 year is still reporting 100% battery health. I do an out door workout 3-4 times a week as well to put things more into perspective.

SE 2 user with 60 hour battery life. May or may not increase with the 10.1.1 but not gonna upgrade unless apple pushes me to.

I remember when my series 4 lasted a few days on watchOS 6. I recently updated it to watchOS 9.x and the battery lasts less than 18 hours, now. Been like this if not worse every update since.

My U2 holds almost 2 days easy. No battery issues.

[–] Sylvurphlame@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

AWU1, no cellular, no workouts, no sleep tracking, but fairly active during the day. Charged to 100% Wed at 05:00. Now 25% at not quite 14:00 on Thursday. So that’s… 33 hours?

So I’m on track for 40ish, but how are you 72 hours in? What are you other relevant settings for display and sensors and background activity?

[–] ykr3Bz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Do you have AOD on?

[–] MedicineLongjumping2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Very nice. How do you bring up that screen? I only recent got the Apple watch ultra 2 and haven't figured everything out yet
