I reset my m1 MacBook Pro due to this and it was gone for a few days and then the same large 100gb of data just comes back. This is only a 256gb device so I can’t not have this space. Thanks

Yea this is what I hate abt Mac OS. At one point I had 100gb is mystery other user data and 80gb I system data. That’s literally most of my ssd. Windows never does thst

Same frustrating issue with ios and ipad os. Apple really needs to fix this.

Double check on what content you have “shared” something like a shared album with friends or family can cause this so maybe check your Apple ID shared content

Can give some of these solutions a try. I'd try checking hidden directories in Library, if that doesn't work, I'm not sure. Best of luck
