Anyway to turn that off? It drives me nuts! Started with TVOS17. This is the 4K 2021 (I think) model. Not the newest one.

I’ve been having the same issue, started after my receiver’s firmware was updated the other day oddly enough. Either on 17.1 or 17.1.1.

Yes it’s annoying. Every time I turn on my Apple TV there it is.

It just shows up for me when I short press the TV button. I considered it a thoughtful improvement in TVOS 17. In any case, I was surprised to see the apparent heartache it caused the OP. 🤷‍♀️

Just an annoyance, maybe a minor headache but definitely not a migraine despite many replies seem to make my simple question (can it be disabled) a world changing request.

Same issue here. Every time I turn my TV on, the control center pops up twice by itself. I close it, and then 5 seconds later it pops up again. Very annoying, and was hoping 17.1.1 would have fixed it. I’m using a harmony remote, and am wondering now if perhaps it’s sending extra signals.

Installing the 17.2 developer beta stopped the problem. 👍👍👍👍👍
