Despite owning most models since launch in 2007 and upgrading from 14 pro to 15 pro, I’m really enjoying this gen iPhone.

Not too sure if it’s the feel of the titanium, the improved aperture on the camera or finally having USB C , this phone feels like it’s really ticking all the boxes now compared to previous generations.

Sure there have been better and bigger updates (e.g iPhone 4, iPhone X) but as a device in your hands, the 15 has been a real joy compared to previous updates.

Thoughts?

[–] accordinglyryan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm with you, the 15 Pro is my favorite thus far. But for all time I'd say the 4 and 5 are high on my list, followed by my iPhone 8 because it was just a great phone for me.

Clearly the 13. It was the last generation with a mini size that fits in your hand. It was also the last generation to use a flagship chip for the base iphones.

[–] killsafety@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

12 mini and I’ll never upgrade unless it’s for the 13 mini

[–] jujuluvu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We have gone thru generations of iPhone, imo they rarely have changed that much over the years. It’s like YaY new iPhone out it must have new stuff!! There’s not much that changes, they add a couple emojis and screen layouts and BAM! Millions of $$$ made for the same basic layout. I like the iPhone don’t read me wrong. It has all of the same layouts, wall papers, ringtones (I feel like I’ve used everyone of them) the ones I used for waking alarms are ptsd inducing. I can’t stand the notification sounds so much that I keep my ringer off & set to vibrate. The size and thickness has changed over the years. I wish they were more customizable. Anyways, I miss my BIG iPhone, I don’t remember the model, it was like a mini iPad 😆

iPhone 4 will forever be GOAT in my eyes

[–] tricky4444@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Curvy 11 pro max was probably my favourite

[–] Marcus-With-U@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone X was the most beautiful one in my opinion

[–] eatingthesandhere91@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Prior to this 15 Pro Max, I liked my 13 Pro Max, and my Xs, and my 6.

[–] egregiouscollecting@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The iPhone 4 is the best iPhone of all time, and the last iPhone that Steve Jobs was a part of.

[–] Soulmuzik22@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

6s Plus will forever be my favorite. It has served me well over 6 years before upgrading.

[–] TechSudz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s the 13 Pro Max for me. Just had such a premium feel to it. I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max for the cameras, and they are amazing, but this one doesn’t have the solid, premium feel that the 13 had.

[–] Ogkush69x@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

13p was trash too heavy and wide/ big bezels. 15pro hits that sweet spot. Light and slim. 👍

[–] TheScottishPimp03@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have had a 7, SE 2nd (I loved that phone) but this 14 pro omg omg I will never go back to a home button and the cameras are just amazing

[–] 3serious@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

13 Mini pretty easily. What a terrific phone

[–] LexKing89@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It’s a tie for me between the original iPhone, 4/4S, X, and the 12/13 Mini.

[–] ABL67@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone X beautiful glass front and back

[–] locololus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Favorite is probably the 5C. I love how it looks with the vibrant colors.

[–] bananapepp4r@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 1. Bc it was so magical owning one when it came out, but also bc I got to show it off to all my friends who still had Nokias or Moto Razr flip phones with snake as the only game.

..then fast forward to iPhone 3GS and everyone and their dog got one lol

[–] sjsharksfan44@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have the 15 Pro Max and I love it, but I will say the XR. The thing that would put the 15PM over is improvements to Dynamic Island. Apple can do so much more with it. The XR was just reliable and I loved the blue color.

[–] pristinerevenge@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It's a battle between the 4s and the 5s for me.

[–] Designer_Willingness@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I still rock a xr, it’s been a solid device since day 1

[–] Galln@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 3G and iPhone 4. they were a real Leap technologically back then

[–] beast17498@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 12 using it without the case… and the feels of it it’s blazing fast..

iPhone X was an absolutely killer phone.

OLED, clean design (personally found the rounded edges far more ergonomic in the hand than the more recent slab sided iPhone 12-15)

We also got Face ID AND 3D Touch in one device, we truly had it all. I had a white one and paired with the Aubergine Apple case, sublime. I miss 3D Touch so much, it felt completely natural and a new way to interact with the UI, peeking and popping into new layers, Haptic Touch just isn’t the same.

Also shoutout to the iPhone 5S because that was my second choice, Touch ID was so slick and champagne gold was a gorgeous finish, I also sometimes think I miss the white bezels that we had on older iPhones.

Have they fixed 15s hardware ? I heard it was weak. I am planning to upgrade from 11 next year

[–] Zarathustra772@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

The 4/4s, the 5s, they look somewhat dated from the front (but in a graceful way). And the Xs for the 3D Touch, design is a bit flawed and I prefer the 12 and onwards esthetic

[–] Abdulaziz_S@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 11 Pro Max. It was one of the best batteries ever. Great cameras. Came with fast charger in the box.

Anyone one that doesn’t have a sharp edge since iPhone 12

[–] flux8@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Objectively speaking the 15 is of course the best phone. What I think the question here really is, is which phone had the biggest jump in performance and look vs the previous year phone?

[–] Pitonpriscal6461@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

In my opinion, greatly love iPhone SE(first gen), 11 and 13 line up.

[–] kosmingzone@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 4 or iPhone 5s - will remain the best iPhones for me. Sometimes it's nice to take them as second phones

[–] Green_EveningLime624@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Iphone 5, iphone 6 and iphone xs for me.

[–] PeachBoyX@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Definitely this year’s. My 15PM for me is as perfect as it can get: good camera, battery life, large screen/storage (1TB), and USB-C. All of this plus mobile Suica for traveling and it’s a winning recipe for a long time.

Looking forward to keeping this phone for as long as I can.

iPhone 6. I didn't even intend to buy one, but I had an older 5 that was in my pocket and I walked into something that just destroyed my phone, on the way from Shenzhen into Hong Kong to catch a flight out of Hong Kong. Screen shattered to pieces, internal parts destroyed, I just don't even know. I had a bunch of time before the flight in Hong Kong, so I went to an electronics market there and just asked which iPhone was in complete working order and they showed me a 6S. I negotiated the price, and he put in a brand new battery and put it on my credit card. I LOVED that phone. The rounded edges and everything. I have a 12 pro, now, and I like it a lot, but the sharp edges constantly ruin my jeans.

[–] lovemyonahole@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

6s. 7 years support. Minijack. Great experience.

iPhone 13, love that notch and the green color. Rip iPhone mini

[–] Hekihana@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I love your wallpaper! 日本♡

[–] WinterZealousideal10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It amuses me that people are so simple that just changing the port is what’s get them off. To a poorly advertised port that doesn’t even do what it says on the tin at that.

[–] SusanLovesHorses@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I just got a refurbished iPhone 13 from Back Market. Can’t wait to start it up. My current phone is an iPhone 7. iPhone 7? It’s a long story. I won’t bore everyone with it.

[–] jdros15@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone 13

I had a minor complaint about all the iPhones I had except my iPhone 13 Pro Max

[–] TheChanMan2003@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

iPhone SE, first gen. It was my first phone, absolutely loved the size and form factor.

[–] Realistic_Sock_4594@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have a 13 pro max, but I actually just ordered an SE 2020 to be my travel phone and I couldn’t be more excited for it to arrive tomorrow. I don’t know why, just like the idea of not having to care about my phone. Kinda like driving a beater car.

[–] WinterZealousideal10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Prolly 14. Not amused with being forced into USB-C by a an over reaching government who needs to keep its nose out of tech.

[–] pinktortoise@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

6, thinnest phone. Felt like I was messing with magic. Now it’s kind of a tool that I’m using a 11 pro big thick and heavy
