What’s K’Wuan Williams up to nowadays?

[–] NReust@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Eric Hebron...he was fantastic for the Colts and went to the Steelers and played decent. Well enough to keep a job somewhere. So where did he go?

[–] ghangis24@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Zach Ertz. Last I remember he was traded to the Cardinals, then he just kinda disappeared.

[–] Kong__Dong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tre Mason is a good one. He went crazy.

[–] zeebrasauce@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tevin Coleman

I mean an obvious one is Aldon Smith. Imagine what he would have done if he stayed out of trouble

Not so much that I didn’t know what happened with his career, but D’Andre Levy once he was finally cut from the Lions after he destroyed his knee.

He was clearly suffering from depression, writing to the local papers about being scared of having CTE, etc.

As soon as he was cut, he dropped out of the spotlight completely. And honestly, I think about him a lot.

Once was one of the best WILL linebackers in the league, and just gone in a terrible fashion.

I hope he’s doing ok

It's not even a good one, just one I personally experienced. The name "Mohammad Wilkerson" popped in my head while watching the Jets, and I wondered where he went off to. Turns out he's been retired for quite some time. These seasons really go by way too quickly.

JR Reed for the Eagles looked like a potentially dynamic kick returner. Then he damaged some nerves when he tore up the back of his leg while jumping a fence.

[–] BigTallCanUke@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He’s currently with the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.

BMW. Big Mike Williams of the Lions.

[–] sheddingpanda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Whatever happened to JR?

[–] CabbageStockExchange@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Fred Jackson. I remember he was a solid RB from back in the day

Edit: I appreciate the responses guys! I felt like he just went and disappeared one day from the league.

The most recent superstar that comes to mind is Gurly. He was an absolute beast for the Rams, helped make them a contender, and after some reports of arthritis he became a complete non-factor. I know he went to the Falcons for a little but it was one of the quickest declines I’ve ever seen.

Matt Jones

6'6" WR ran a 4.37, released because of substance abuse issues then never played again

This thread and all the replies are an advertisement by the NFL to stop paying your RBs

Marvin Jones Jr. I’ve had a crush on him since he Mossed Eddie Jackson his rookie year.

Just glanced at his stats and they don’t look too bad for someone who’s had a career as long as he has.

[–] chadwick_dean@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Steve Slaton comes to mind.

Marcus peters , had a lot of hype around the draft and on the chiefs. Surprised he got dealt to the rams. Haven’t heard about him at all until he had that pick 6 vs the lions a few weeks ago.

What’s Matt Flynn up to these days?

I thought Deion Jones would be a consistent top 5 LB.

[–] wagoncirclermike@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Saints folks - what happened to Jairus Byrd? He was an absolute monster for us. His 2009 season was one of the best Bills rookie seasons ever, plus he made three pro bowls and an AP All-Pro second team spot. Then he left for New Orleans in 2013 and I really didn't hear much of him after that.

Honestly I remember when Kwon Alexander would be hyped up and then it would die down. Then hyped up and die down. Same cycle.

Travis Fulgham will always hold that for me. In hindsight he was probably never anything spectacular but he flashed when the Eagles had fuck all at the WR position (I am a proud owner of a Greg Ward jersey).

Everyone saw the potential in him. He got way too many chances for a guy who just doesn’t want to put on the work.

Will Fuller V disappeared really quickly after leaving the Texans. Surprised me since I thought of him as a solid WR2, high end WR3 even with the injury issues.

[–] Novel-Confidence-968@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He signed with the dolphins then hurt himself leaving the room.
