It's 1860 and Dakota territory has a white population of about 5,000 and 360 US civilians were brutally murdered. That's like if 23 million 2023 americans were killed. That's TEN THOUSAND NINE ELEVENS. that's almost FOUR HOLOCAUSTS

Clearly something has to be done and, this being war, innocent Indians will surely die. We must do whatever we can to minimize this suffering by providing a reservation refuge and a humanitarian corridor to get them there safely. Don't like it? Well what's your plan???

I brought this up to Vaushites and they were just like "muh never attack innocent civilians, only military installations". Kinda curious how you get the settlers to leave if they have a 100% assurance no violence will be done to them.
