I actually consider that a positive effect of ADHD. Being unable to stop thinking about something until you have all the answers is how we learn, and how people with ADHD tend to have knowledge of various unrelated things. I think it makes us more interesting individuals.. now if only I could stop from going on tangents when talking about something I am passionate about

The tangents are sometimes the best part, especially when talking to someone on the same wavelength.

Googling random questions is the source of half my knowledge

How would I learn if I don’t seek answers to my questions?

Everybody should do this.

I have the collective knowledge of humanity stored in a little rectangle that fits in my pocket. You bet your ass I'm gonna search every question I have.

Purple links, every day

Don't remember a single one

Back before smart phones my pockets were full of little notes and memos and my arms were covered in writing. All things that I needed to look up later.

I was just on a Wikipedia page subsection and saw the enzyme name RuBisCo. I immediately thought “that’s the most common enzyme,” then immediately wondered who I thought I was with that piece of information. When I scrolled up to its initial mention, I found a purple link and confirmed that it is in fact the most common enzyme.

I guess I’d prefer to remember the fact than learning the fact, but it’s definitely disorienting

This is why I think a kind of cyber brain-internet connection would be the worst thing for me. I'd literally have a bottomless queue of bifurcating queries that I'd just keep adding to

Bold of you to assume that I remember what I was going to google by the time I open a new tab
