Dating services are literally the only place I’m half-way okay with identity verification as an option.

They just need to make the fines for exposing data hurt . You'd get verification systems where they make sense as well as being as privacy respecting as possible.

I agree. Exposing data should be 10% of their income per occurrence. If they can’t afford it, dont collect it.
