"Today I learned" is probably appropriate considering you probably just learned about this old news and you want to share it.

Edit: am I talking to a bot?

So I go back in time and connect the dots.... sometimes you gotta go back to go forward. If you are led like a hosre, you get war after war falling into the same arms that caused your issue. A problem solution cycle. Those that want to save the children are those that harm the children. I am not talking about you by the way so please don't take it personal. Thats what I was trying to say. I am probably too out there. Like do you have a receipt? CYA

These spaces have a lot of rules... I am finding If I sow my seed carefully, I have better results and less friction.

I don't know of a specific "old news" community but I see a lot of historical content posted on the Wikipedia, History, historyphotos, and similar communities. I guess it would depend on which historical event you wanted to share.

I thought this was about people and knowledge? What am I doing here? Like I don't need to smell you but I like from time to time others takes. For real with out my glasses I can't see past my nose. These are exceptional times kinda but not really but thats a can of worms.... anywho0o0o

Something like retro news, on this day in the year X, something interesting, etc would draw more people than old news, even historic news would probably get more activity than old news

I'm not sure, since I'm not super interested in that.

But the good news is that you can always make a new community dedicated to "old news" if you'd like to.

How do you do this? Thats why I asked... Its about you init. I am so tired of nothing boogers

How do you do this?

My server (fedia.io) is running different software from yours (programming.dev), but I believe you click on "Create Community" on the top menu bar of your server.

Its about you init. I am so tired of nothing boogers

I have no clue what this is supposed to mean.

[–] Thetechloop@programming.dev 1 points 2 days ago

It no longer matters because you answered my question

If it's certain politics then !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world might fit. Like "This didn't age well" takes

Actually, on the topic of news that doesn't age well, if something like an Elon Musk deadline ticked over, I wonder where you could post that

depends on what the news is (was) about

you can probably find a relevant community for a given subject

or you could start an "old news" ("olds"?) community just for them
