"Dice" is the plural of "die."
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Limit of two posts per person per day.
- Bots aren't allowed.
- Banned users will have their posts removed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

You are correct, though it looks like there was some intent behind the choice.
Also if you're not happy with it, this comic is libre and open source, you can fork it and redistribute it with the words you like as long as you respect the license.
I call bullshit. That's a ridiculous argument to use in the same sentence as an archaic form of "sacrifice."
probably related to him being french
Agreed. It would even be "a golden twenty die!", which lives little room for thinking it's the verb.

Could have gone with D20.
"I'll buy a dice."
"'Die', Larry!"
"Pardon me. I didn't know you were that competitive. Maybe I should come back later when you calm down."
"Larry! Darling. It's one DIE, two DICE. Dice is the plural of die."
"Oh, well, I knew that. Never mind."

It's amazing how many people not only screw it up, but insist you're wrong when you try to correct them.
Language changes, die sounds stupid, and yes I will dice on this hill
Just because language is stupid and human-made, and just because you're correct, that doesn't make the comic author correct 🤣
"die" sucks so bad as a word. I propose we change it to "douse"
Just make it “dee” like how people pronounce “D20” and it can keep “dice” as its plural.
"I'm feeling lucky, give me the dee"
At least buy me dinner first.
