If seeking asylum or parole or any of the other non school/work related status was easier (or even possible) for americans looking to live in other countries, id probably be on my way out already.

Became single recently, and while I still have friends and family that id hate to leave... its mostly paperwork and of course the fear that ill get somwhere else and be miserable and lonely and maybe even homeless.

THIS IS BEST COUNTRY.

IF NOT BEST FOR YOU, PROBLEM IS YOU.

I think he's suggesting that people emigrate, rather than immigrate.

[–] peteypete420@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

Would we be emigrating from america, but immigrating to the other country? Yea I coulda googled that myself but you seem knowledgeable.

Bro, I don't WANT to live here. If I could leave I would be on a plane yesterday.

Great suggestion Shapiro. Have every working class young American immigrate elsewhere and watch your infrastructure die as nobody replaces the existing workers...

I have no doubt Shapiro is saying this full well knowing that if they can't afford to live in the US, they definitely can't afford to leave. He gets to puff his chest out like he's a big man with nobody to take his bluff.

Perhaps Aquamen will offer us subsidized housing in Atlantis.

I love that this joke just keeps on giving

I hope to one day live in a world where it stops giving because we've all forgotten Ben Shapiro.

I wish for a world where getting shapirod is a synonym for getting kirked

[–] NotSteve_@piefed.ca 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think he's more saying you should stop existing à la Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk really knows how to bring down his rent. It's all about downsizing and not being afraid of basement dwellings.

The process is a real pain in the neck though
