This is a workstation cpu, if you need a fast PC to do your job you don't have much choice but pay the AI premium.

Not this one. This is intended for 3D content creators, who won't be concerned about the increased latency from the dual CCD memory locations.

I don't see the point. For gaming 8 cores is better and for other purposes the 3D cache doesn't really help much.

I think it's more bragging rights this way.

TDP is too much for me. I'm waiting for the last AM5 generation and picking up the 16 core x3d for that. Don't want to need that major of a cooling solution. Hoping for some goodness with TSMC 2nm

Same. All I see is an all season heater and an increase in my electric bill. Hard pass.
