I think that there’s lots of merit to be had for a socially conservative, anti-idpol American communist party. However, I think the ACP’s greatest mistake is making their party line meet the American proletariat where they are at. This is a guiding strategy for their messaging and policy; unfortunately this is at odds with the basic tenants of Marxism-Leninism. The role of a revolutionary vanguard party is to further elevate and enhance the consciousness and education of the proletariat, not craft policy that is as reactionary as they are.
A quick five second conversation with the average MAGAt will let you quickly see these people have no common sense whatsoever, and any form of truce with them is illusory at best or compromised. Forming party lines based on what you think is common ground with these people is woefully misguided.
I think this sub can often get confused on the role of Marxism in regards to the working class’s thoughts. It is not that Marxism is supposed to align with their preconceived notions, but rather cause them to drastically reevaluate their stances on material reality, and form new radical thoughts based off of new information. Just because something is appealing to the proletariat as they are now does not mean it is the correct Marxist opinion.
