Donald Trump said Sunday that if no peace deal is reached with Iran in the next 48 hours, "we're blowing up the entire country."

The president made the threat Sunday to ABC News' senior political correspondent Rachel Scott in response to a question regarding whether his previously stated timeline of two to three weeks for a deal was still accurate.

Concerns have been raised about targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran and the consequences that could bring.

To think that in the interest of electoral fairness, we let this guy be president again instead of putting him in a prison for life where he absolutely belongs.

To any democratic strategists out there who might be reading my post, if you want my attention, start getting your candidate to talk loudly and often about how they will punish Trump and every single member of his administration on Day 1. Lifetime prison sentences for Epstein related coverups. Hangings for treason, war crimes and crimes against humanity. Lengthy prison sentences for fraudsters who are insider trading and former DOGE staffers. Restitution to be paid back to the American taxpayers for the theft and embezzlement of tax dollars. Anything less that that is a mockery of justice.

I wish someone would shut him up.

Before announcing talks that aren't happening, agreements that weren't agreed and declaring himself the saviour and the paragon of peace

MAGA is dragging the USA down to the low level of Vlad's Fucked Up Russia.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I think they have done it. For me it was the loss of a us awacs plane last month, a thing that we made fun of russia for not a few years ago. The us of a is not in a good place militarily right now, with big issues with both equipment and moral that is very much underplayed.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca -2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Good. Hope you learned that running your mouth off over things you don't understand isn't a good look.

Hey remember sending F-16s to intercept weather balloons? Imagine if Russia did that!

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 1 points 9 hours ago

Not american myself, but yes those guys suck!

So stupid, "we're going to blow up innocent iranians i stg!!'

"Oh you mean those annoying protestors we were killing before you interrupted us?"

[–] dellish@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

Yep. We need to kill them, otherwise they might die!

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

Trumps bladder needs to blow up.

[–] SulaymanF@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

As Trump liked to say to his opponents, he doesn’t have the cards.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

I mean.....he's the one that controls earths largest supply of nukes. He has the cards. It's just a matter of if the order will be followed.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 19 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

No nukes! Somebody please stop that idiot from using nukes!!

[–] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 8 points 15 hours ago (3 children)

Everyone and his dog will be getting a nuclear weapon if that happens. The future of humanity will be very bleak indeed.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

will be

That's future tense. I think you mean "has been since 1945"

[–] Napster153@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Israel would rather rule over Hell on Earth before admitting defeat and facing international scrutiny for real this time

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 3 points 9 hours ago

If they use one they are going to very quickly become the first nation made entirely of glass.

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 1 points 9 hours ago

What do you mean? Nukes ensure stability, do you think anyone would attack a nuclear Iran?

Nukes mean not using them.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 14 points 18 hours ago

President tantrum has spoken

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 36 points 22 hours ago (4 children)

No longer does the country collectively agree to push forward on war. Now it's just one guy who triggers very easily. WTF!?

[–] Bieren@lemmy.today 2 points 5 hours ago

Could you imagine if a female was president. Just running everything on feelings and emotions.

[–] Mrkawfee@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago

And that one guy is Netanyahu

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 15 points 22 hours ago (7 children)

It's not just 1 guy, it's most of the current administration. And 84% of the people that voted for Trump, still stand by their vote!!

Always has been

“we’re blowing up the entire country.”

What country is that? USA?
For those not aware, Trump is actively destroying USA not Iran.
For every escalation USA is just making it worse for themselves.

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 11 points 20 hours ago

Which one is it? 4th time?

Reminds me of this classic Andy Griffith Show scene from the Opie and the Bully episode.

“So you want to fight? Step across this line. Alright, knock this off my shoulder, I dare you. So you wanna fight huh? Just step inside this circle.” 😆

Yea, cause they’re doing so well so far.

[–] leriotdelac@lemmy.zip 27 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There's no salvation for this man. I hope someone stops him, and my thoughts are with civilians of the region.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 11 points 23 hours ago

Blud, my thoughts are with all of us that didn't sign up to be part of this fucking insanity.

[–] osanna@lemmy.vg 40 points 1 day ago

so let me get this straight. Just so I'm clear, it's unfair when Iran blockades. But when dumpy does it to cuba, that's perfectly fine?

[–] El_Scapacabra@lemmy.zip 59 points 1 day ago (13 children)

Imo he has been looking for any excuse to launch a nuclear bomb since he first became president. I don't even think he cares why, how, or who he ends up using it on, even if it's his own people. As long as he gets to use his ultimate power as president and press that big button. And as long as he isn't personally affected he won't even give it a second thought.

I firmly believe he WILL nuke someone before his term is up if nobody stops him. I firmly believe people have already stopped him before.
