A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

RULES:

  1. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, bigotry, etc. The past may be bigoted, but we are not.

  2. Memes must be Rome-related, not just the title. It can be about Rome, or using Roman aesthetics, or both, but the meme itself needs to have Roman themes.

  3. Follow Piefed.social rules.

We do not dignify the fodder of the plebians with our refined palate, unlike some common equates of our unfortunate acquaintance.

Eating breakfast at work is a bad sign.

Depends. It would be ideal to sleep in, skip eating and eat on the clock.

That still sounds like you feel time pressure due to how much time your job takes up in your life.

Having done something like this before; showing up early to work (to avoid traffic) and eating there can be less stressful than eating at home, and dealing with the traffic going to work. And waking up earlier means going to bed earlier which means less even*ng time with the S.O.

I only really go to work for 1/2 of my workday every day, but still feel pressure by how much time my job takes out of my life, is there a disability-level diagnosis I can get here? Or a grant or something?

Sub the figs/honey with dates, bananas, apples and olives and it's pretty much how I've been snacking nowadays. (I'm not a fan of honeyed things though.)

Si tam invidus es, te permittam mihi pascere. Forsitan aliquid postea supersit.

Cur cibum vestrum rusticum pessimum edam? Nonne per millennia ut species crevimus solum ut bene edere et bene vivere possimus?

The proper Roman breakfast surely involved more wine.

Which may require some modern accoutrements.
