What now? That's not happening. But candy prices have sure gone up.

All this time spent on an article and they don't even do any basic analysis. Looking at the chart, spending is only slightly up from 2007 numbers when adjusted for inflation.

It is what you make of it, like all the other ones.

I just cannot relate. I have never done nor felt pressured to do any of this for my kids. We also do minimal Christmas gifts. They're school-aged now, too, so it's not because they're babies or toddlers. They don't seem to care, either.

Yeah I did not realize this was a copy paste from US lifestyle. When I was a youngling I did Easter egg hunts in the house and gifts from santa and family.

Canadian newspaper using only US numbers.

Sad.

Did not notice that, I am not a parent and I go out of my way to not see ads. It is a family holiday this weekend and I have heard way to many ads on TV or on the radio.

I know that this is capitalism in a nutshell but I have spent a lot of time and effort to avoid ads, wish I could say that it was inexpensive as well but no I have spent money on not seeing ads, not by paying for premium poop but for the hardware so that I do not need to pay for premium poop.

It's weird that under Canada is an American Easter story. They know we're a separate country right?

I sure hope CBC does
