Rule 1- All posts must begin with TIL. Linking to a source of info is optional, but highly recommended as it helps to spark discussion.

Your post subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding non-TIL posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-TIL posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Let everyone have their own content.

Since donning the burka, the woman said she had been taunted by neighbours who called her a "smelly Arab" and that Israeli soldiers had asked to see her identification papers to prove she was not a Muslim. They backed down, she said, when she showed them that her children were clearly Jewish.

The trend has also caused tensions in family life. One man went to a rabbinical court in an attempt to get a ruling to force his wife to stop wearing the burka.

The plan backfired, however. The court ruled that that woman's behaviour was so "extreme" that it ordered the couple to undergo an immediate religious divorce.

Seriously, the more I read about Israel and their “rules, behavior and attitudes”. The more I despise it. Yes, despise. Despise with everything they do (genocide, apartheid and manipulation).

30+ years ago in school I was tasked with writing an essay on Israel. In just a few days of researching I noticed that everything the Palestinians were doing looked like desperate guerrilla warfare against a superior force. Their tactics made no sense otherwise.

That's when I asked... Why? And started researching what Israel was doing. Holy Fuck... Today it's more obvious with their open genocide but they have been doing this shit for 50+ years quietly. This isn't something new. This isn't the current leadership. This is a fundemental cultural belief that they are superior and can kill, maim, abuse and steal from any other ethnic group. The zionist group is as bad or worse than any other extremist group around.

That's the crazy thing to me. We have worlds' better information, science and fact-checking today, and yet half the world* is still adhering to completely outdated religions and religious guidelines designed for a different peoples, long, long ago. It's either their lifeline or a way to manipulate others, and many people would rather go extinct than change.

* or whatever it is

So much craziness in so few words.

For various—mostly unfortunate reasons—my foremost question here is why would a non-South/Central Asian, non-Muslim woman wear the burqa?

Edit: Seems the answer is modesty.

This is what the Talmud does to Jews by religion. They put it above the Torah, and the latter says not to add to or take away from the Word.

Judaism isn't a biblical religion. it is extremely different than whatever religion they had in cnaan. It is rabbinical Judaism, it's the rules that rabbis made over centuries of diaspora.
