OMG they are absolutely ROUND. Someone should make Christmas tree ornaments like that
They can actually make pretty decent pets. I had a friend who rescued one from their cat, and he was a super friendly guy. He loved climbing the curtains to fly onto your shoulder.
They're kinda like sugar gliders except they have a much less restrictive diet, don't have to have a companion (they're generally solitary), and can survive temperatures lower than 70F. I was going to get one as my first adult pet, but the cat distribution system ruined that.
They are escape artists, though. Meaning enclosures, buddy was perfectly happy being an inside squirrel.
I would definitely get some of those!

I’d never even considered UV light being a higher proportion of the sunlight hitting an area during dawn and dusk. It sort of makes sense to me if I consider how atmospheric filtering is what gives rise to the experience of consistent color(s) in the sky in the first place. I guess out of sight out of mind is a common starting point, especially for electromagnetic effects
