Imo you're missing a plain text tracklist so I can source tracks myself, there's nothing any kind of punk about spotify
Folk Punk Folks
Folk Punk - for and by Folk Punks
Be excellent to each other. Be ruthless against fascism.
Very true. Give me a little bit and I'll get that made :)
Hell yeah :)
Pastebin is up
Thanks, you're a real one. Got a good 3/4 of em hoarded, really liked the first new one I pulled (rent strike - burn it all)
The Orphans - For an Old Kentucky Anarchist
Larry and His Flask - Ebb and Flow
Harley Poe - I Can't Stand Myself
Literally the entire album Live the Dream by Ramshackle Glory (another Pat project)
Literally the entire album Live the Dream by Ramshackle Glory (another Pat project)
To be fair the list does have "Your Heart Is a Muscle the Size of Your Fist" that's also on that Ramshackle Glory album.. I guess the song counts as both Ramshackle Glory and Pat The Bunny.
Speaking of, there's no Friends In Real Life songs on the list so maybe that's something to include. I wonder how many different Pat projects one playlist can have haha.
I was wanting to avoid having the playlist be too heavily dominated by one particular group or artist because my initial intent for the introductory playlist was to give a nice sampling of all the different spaces in the genre.
The idea was to make new playlists either biweekly or monthly that delved deeper into particular artist's catalogs or sub-genres within the folk-punk label.
Stick and Poke - Teeth on a String
Pagefire - Deadbeat punk songs for rebel teens
Long Sought Rest - Cold Dinner
Blackbird Raum - Honey in the Hair
Railyard Ghosts - Trains That can Fly
Fucking love Honey in the Hair and Train that can Fly, will have to check the others!
absolutelyyy <3 also not folkpunk but adjacent, the mountain goats sax rohmer #1 is really good as an enjoyer of all the above songs :3
This is great. I'll try and find some time today to make a qobuz version to share.
Hold off til tomorrow. I'll be getting together a v2 of the intro list :)
Thanks for putting up the playlist. Some of my favorites and several I've never heard!
Kind of a deep cut but Ryan Harvey could be added
