Does it annoy you that your combination square has metric on one side and American on the other, instead of having the same measurement on both sides?
How do you cope with measurements on both the inside and outside of corners?

you have a pico pencil, not uncivilized
They're doing the long con, so to say, by cultivating the acquired taste. By the end of the job you'll be able to tell the difference between Kenyan and Ethiopian arabica.
Shhhh - don't give away the secrets of Big Bean!

Do you enjoy the coffee? Then it's not wasted.
No. He means he pours it out and adds whisky to the cup.
Something about this picture just screams middle school maths book cover.
You're free to use it if you cut me in
Bottom right corner ok? Could use a face down there.
Those poor middle schoolers did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment.
Lady customer is into cave man maybe?
Doesn't concern me for as long as her husband is my best paying customer.
Eww. Can't be nice nowadays?
It's a foamed milk /w espresso with cocoa powder on top and not a sexual advance. Might even be made from a pod machine as opposed to a proper espresso machine. Not a blowjob.
What's the story with this ruler. It seems to be have markings for measuring up to 20.5cm of length, but it's labeled from 10 to 30. Why does it not start from zero?
It used to be 30 cm long, but I shortened it and rounded the corners. I had to cut off the first 10 cm rather than the 20–30 cm section, because otherwise I'd lose the markings for the first few millimetres when I grind the corner.
Makes perfect sense! The sharp corners on most rulers like this aren't very pocket-friendly.
Ruler starts a 0, markings start at 10. A bit like how some cars speedos start at 10.
As for the othet end, did you mean 30.5?
The roads might be safer if we marked speedos like this
Iittala Taika-mug! Customer has a nice taste!
You look more like a fine craftsman
you ungrateful peasant!
That ruler has lines just painted on the steel ribbon, without grooves (no idea how to call that in English)? How well the paint keeps on?
There are grooves - I can feel them when I glide a fingernail across it. I've had that thing in the thigh pocket of my work pants for about a decade.
I'd say grooves is a valid term.
But how are you sure that there aren't any? I feel it's difficult to tell just by looking at the picture...
What if they brought some craft beer?
Then I couldn't drive home at the end of the day due to my principles about drinking and driving but that's okay - my toolkit includes a toothbrush
