I caught them snoozing next to each other. They barely tolerate each other, so I was so pleasantly surprised to see them laying next to each other.

These two are the light of my life. I love them sooooo much.

We had someone staying at our house for a while who had a cat. We also have cats. Their cat absolutely hated our matriarch cat and vice versa. I once caught them in a room together where one was lying on an office chair and the other was lying on the desk above her and both were taking turns grumbling at each other but neither one was moving or looking at the other.

Cats are weird.

We shall nap together. But annoyingly.

I was going tosay, even before I read the post....

"This looks like an old sitcom trope where the two room mates split the house down the middle. You stay on your side, I'll stay on my side!"

yup. they're not often in the same room as each other. The funny thing is, I brought the dark cat home to be FRIENDS with the white cat, but it didn't work out that way. I felt bad that she only had me, so I thought "you know what, I'll get her a friend".

They don't fight, but they swipe at each other and stuff. So this was a very big step for them. it's been about 3 months, I'd think since i bought the dark cat home. they're gradually getting friendlier. I doubt they'll ever be BFFs, but when I first brought home the dark cat, the white cat was hissing at just his scent.
