If you give a guinea pig a carrot....

"You got games on your phone" but it's carrots in your fridge

Edit: Eagles are indeed birds.

So glad a bird or an eagle didn't grab the poor carrotless thing.

You can have carrots

Mine won't let me get my morning coffee until they have been served their morning carrots. Such entitled little potatoes!

You're saying the quiet part out loud

The guinea pig is probably asking for shelter because it's a prey animal and worried about being killed by birds, critters, pets, etc..

It's probably not asking anything as it most likely has no concept what a question even is or any theory of mind about humans.

They actually make special whistle noises just for humans and they certainly ask for food. The are very social, and can get very depressed alone or if a partner dies.

They tend to get stressed being exposed outside because they want to feel secure. They know they can't fight against predators.
