We have obscenely rich clans all fighting each other; Israel, Saudi, UAE, Iran, and we’re going to use broke-ass, lied-to disrespected American kids to prosecute this tribal desert skirmish on behalf of these child-molesting, entitled, obnoxious, adolescent people. Fuck them. Let them use their own blood and treasure. I am not an ally of any of these goons in stupid hats. I am not willing to help any of them do anything except stop the war.

I’m sure they’re concerned about civil unrest as the retaliatory bombing continues, but they’re more concerned about their pocketbook and the risk of the Strait being closed by Iran on a whimsy

Then again, long term Strait closure will accelerate the process of replacing Arab oil.

Well, they would, wouldn't they? It's not like it's their lives and fortunes on the line.

“Hey there, old ~~chump~~ friend. Could you send your people to die for our strategic objectives? That’d be swell”

It doesn't seem like a very private conversation if we're reading about it in headlines.

Christofascists operating at the behest of Zionists and Islamic states/state religions, to conquer an Islamic state.
As the God of Oil intended!

Interesting. What's the strategy here? Just "weaken Iran"? Is there some hopium that an escalation wouldn't see them obliterated?

I'm sure they know as well as anyone else that actually bombing them out of existence isn't realistic.

Edit: Maybe they're just noticing that they've indefinitely lost free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, if it ends now.

Iran is going to receive support from China, North Korea, and Russia. Meanwhile those gulf allies have a merchant economy that relies on one single primary manufacturer for their bare-bone military and the rest of NATO isn't joining in. They don't need to get played when they are playing themselves.
