Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

God is Dead. USA is a rotting corpse.

Regular people should be taking advantage of the worlds disorder right now. Reclaim humanity.

Billionaires and their companies...

If only Iran would start going after the companies supporting data centers and the tech bro dependencies.

Why is it Iran that must deal with that shit?

We figured this out months ago, but the media didn't report it at all. It was never about the ballroom, always the bunker underneath.

[–] 8oow3291d@feddit.dk -4 points 1 day ago

Have you seen how enthusiastic Trump is when talking about the design of the ballroom? Trump loves real estate more than anything. So I think it is all about the ballroom.

After big tech hurled money at him we should have all automatically assumed there's an underground datacenter in the works there.

[–] redsand 24 points 1 day ago

And the major power upgrades the city is doing, architect change, sponsors, military consultants, footprint, etc...

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I guess I still don't get why a datacenter would make any sense to put there?

To sell cloud services to the ultra-rich in their apocalypse bunkers after the surface is glassed?

Yeah but like, you can just cut the lines. Also pretty sure there are ways of blocking even directed wireless signals.

Is anyone surprised? I mean, did you guys think it was really a $300 million dollar ballroom?

[–] celeste@kbin.earth 53 points 1 day ago

I thought he was pocketing it

[–] artyom@piefed.social 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Have you seen the room where he does press conferences?

[–] 1dalm@lemmy.today 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well, no. I don't really watch his press conferences.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 48 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Its chock full of gaudy gold bullshit

I have no trouble believing he would fill an entire ballroom with $300M of the same gaudy shit.

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 14 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Actually, is cheap decorative plastic, spray canned gold.

[–] DragonAce@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Honestly, I think someone went on a shopping spree at Home Depot in their Wood Appliques department.

Here is part of that gaudy shit under the shelf/mantle behind him. Its all cheap shit painted gold.

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 day ago

Just like trump, they were just out of gold, so they used orange...

Some of it is cheap decorative plaster spray painted gold!

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago

Lol seriously. ‘Sir, take a look at this priceless golden Sharpie holder, however it can be yours for $5 million!’

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

No, I thought it would end up costing far more than that.

Building a bunker at the White House is probably the most useful and appropriate allocations of funds Trump has done.

It’s a low bar, as they say.

The White House is undoubtedly a high value target for US adversaries so having a fortified space in the event of an imminent attack is not useless.

At least we can hope the nukes won't fly until the bunker is done so we have at least 3-4 years to change something.

Hitler Bunker

[–] Heikki2@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I'm pretty sure he was bragging about the bunker months ago, while on the shitter on Air Farce One with the door open

[–] shweddy@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

So he does want to be comfortable in his little suicide bunker

[–] Ole10@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

So White House down Bunker was a lie?
