Hey look at that. That one dude that posted the stuff here 6 months ago or so about the designs and plans and mentioned how all of the donors were related to people that are doing underground data centers and stuff like that for Israel are the same group that are working on this with none of the other people that should be involved with ballrooms like Tiffany and stuff like that being associated.

[–] Einskjaldi@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

It's also important to note that someone else wanted that to happen and trump personally really wants a ballroom that's bigger and gaudier than obamas.

[–] Aeao@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

Dumb dumb: the ballroom is under budget!

Citizens: the 200 million ballroom that is now 400 million? That ballroom is under budget? Under the doubled budget expected?

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 9 points 21 hours ago

If there is two things trump is a expert on its stupid and lawsuit. Its just one thing with him though.

[–] patruelis@lemmy.world 8 points 22 hours ago

Omfg, he's so fking dumb. Idiocracy!

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Probably would've scurried into it when he loses the 2028 run

[–] ChonkyOwlbear@lemmy.world 10 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Good. We can seal the doors, cut the power, and leave him and his cronies to rot in there forever.

[–] Bahnd@lemmy.world 13 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Quickly Mr. President, help me bring the guests to your fancy ballroom a cask of amontillado we keep in the secret bunker.

[–] Vupware@lemmy.zip 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

He would totally bite. There’s no way he’s familiar with that story

[–] fishy@lemmy.today 2 points 20 hours ago

He definitely hasn't ever read a book for pleasure. Maybe just never read a book.

[–] Angrydeuce@lemmy.world 8 points 23 hours ago

I saw this movie, it was called Civil War and was one of the most genuinely anxiety fueling films Ive seen in recent years.

What kind of American are you?

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

It's scheduled to be completed months before the election, but the part he cares about is underground.

The thing is, even if there's absolutely zero way to get inside, it doesn't mean shit if no one outside the bunker listens to him.

It would be the perfect ending to this if he really goes down into a bunker with his closest circle who have the supplies to live decades...

And after waiting a while we just seal the doors.

It would 100% be worse than prison for everyone sealed in there. Just leave them to die together in a hole.

But the ironic part is there was already a bunker there, and it's likely now compromised.

So if the new one doesn't get finished, there won't be any bunker under his direct control.

He wanted to build his own, so that no one else knew how to open it. Like, if he went to one of the still secret bunkers like under Biltmore, people that are outside know how to get him out.

[–] titanicx@lemmy.zip 2 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

I mean that's really not what it was for. It was more along the lines of an underground data center but the command center for the president that was upgraded and updated similar to the ones that have been built in Israel over the last few years that gives them a place to hide and everything. It's not really a bunker related to Trump himself going underground he just wanted to be the one to build it and the one that it got he got remembered for.

I absolutely would have known nothing about the military complex but for Trump opening his big mouth about it repeatedly.

Knowledgeable people are aware that any construction at the White House also involves fortifications and bunkers.

Pfff. He would have posted pics of it himself eventually.

America chose fascism. And you're surprised when fascists act like fascists?

[–] 7101334@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

America is fascism, just ask the indigenous people deprived of their land and life, the piles of dead buffalo slaughtered as part of accomplishing the American genocide, and the dead slaves. This isn't America acting like Nazis, Nazis acted like Americans - Hitler was directly inspired by how we treated migrants at the southern border.

But yeah, while we're on the topic anyway...

The Vorbunker (upper bunker or forward bunker) was an underground concrete structure originally intended to be a temporary air-raid shelter for Adolf Hitler and his guards and servants. It was located behind the large reception hall that was added onto the old Reich Chancellery, in Berlin, Germany, in 1936.

(Note that quote says "located behind", which makes it sound above-ground, but it was an underground bunker).

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 7 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Fascism was never defeated, instead the US spread it around until the whole world became fascist.

[–] Napster153@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago

Nuremberg was a whole job fair for the West

[–] redwattlebird@thelemmy.club 38 points 1 day ago

The cost keeps increasing. That's hilarious.

But of course he was building a bunker. There's literally no surprises there. It'll be the new den of rape for sure.

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 29 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This won't be finished in time for him to use it so I guess someone else is pushing for the bunker and they decided to put a ballroom on top to get his approval.

[–] Napster153@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago

That's what concerns me. There's a whole ring of supermasters we're not in the know. It wouldn't surprise me if Bibi is just another front.

[–] megopie@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Or perhaps the contractors involved are giving him or his associates kickbacks from a construction scam, so, it doesn’t need to be finished ever for him to benefit.

[–] Small_Quasar@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Oh, that's definitely happening, regardless of anything else. I bet you Washington has started including necessary corruption in cost analysis the same way Banana Republics do.

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 3 points 1 day ago

I think Trump is actually excited about the ballroom which makes it even sadder that some people are using it to control him like a baby.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 7 points 1 day ago

I bet they don't even pour the foundation while he still president/alive.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 294 points 2 days ago (13 children)

So he is building his own Fuhrer bunker.

[–] raman_klogius@ani.social 208 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Ah, so the headline is worded wrong.

He's not seething, he's führerious!

[–] Neverbeaten@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

The Daft and the Füherious

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

It's more like a Führer rape dungeon, knowing the Epstein files.

It's not a bunker, it's a data center. Just a hardened one.

We figured this out months ago, but the media didn't report it at all. It was never about the ballroom, always the bunker underneath.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago

Fuck the new billionairre media.

I honestly thought there was already a bunker under the WH. Too many movies I guess.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 4 points 23 hours ago

There was a bunker, it was under the East Wing...

After the U.S. entered World War II, Roosevelt, seeing the need to house additional staff and offices to reflect the growing complexity of the federal government at the time, oversaw the addition of the East Wing in 1942, according to the White House.

The two-story structure was built atop the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, or PEOC, a secure bunker that was built by FDR to serve as a secure meeting place in the event of an emergency.

“While the exact specification of this underground presidential bunker is classified,” according to the White House, “it was originally built to withstand a direct nuclear hit. Access to the PEOC is by an elevator located behind multiple vault-type doors with biometric access control systems.”

https://www.militarytimes.com/veterans/military-history/2025/10/21/the-wwii-origins-of-the-now-demolished-east-wing-of-the-white-house/

He almost certainly got just far enough to compromise the security of the existing bunker, and now won't be able to build the new one in time.

It explains why he's so fucking obsessed with the ballroom

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 day ago

That's for war, this one is for child rape.

[–] FordBeeblebrox@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There absolutely is along with some of the best medical facilities in the world and more food and weapons than anywhere else nearby, they just tend to put POTUS on AF1 to stay mobile during duress but that place is a fortress on top of a bunker fortress.
