I'd never heard of this book ("The Terrible Adventures of Scholastica") and illustration series before, and yet thar' she blows-- a book in which Escher designed his take on illuminated letters, plus other goodies. Some really cool stuff, to my mind.

As a teenager, I was absolutely thunderstruck upon first discovering Escher's work. He was one of a series of artistic geniuses that helped open my mind upon what art is, and what it could be. Decades later, I'm happy to say that I'm still grappling & flailing upon such matters. 😅

Maurits Cornelis, is that you?

Is the complete set of 26 letters something that exists?

Not from that one book, I don't think. But it's always possible a fan project might create more such letters out of his original work, in that style.
