Noticing hours afterward that I gesture-typed an incomprehensible word salad and people still upvoted it.

Holding belief that people are rational and able to follow logic :')

whose logic?

logic isn't a universal force or law. it's a learned system. most people have their own internal emotional or cultural logic, that may or may not have anything to do with something like symbolic logic.

it's not bait dude. it's reality. logic is not a fixed system, it's an active area of research in which new problems and new logical systems are being invented.

have you ever formally studied logic? if you did realize there is more than one system of logic, and they have different rules.

It's like thinking mathematics ends with algebra 2 or calculus with calc 1.

here is one sample for you https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraconsistent_logic

I wonder if OP will listen to your logic..

When I try and do something with my hands and then completely fail at being able to talk.

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 days ago

Constantly helping someone only for them to constantly go back to their abuser

Talking to subject matter experts about topics I think I know a lot about.

Buying stupid shit for way too much money because, although I try not to, fall into the capitalist trap way too often

Talking in person and my mouth moving faster than my mind. Stuttering and saying stupid things makes me just stay quiet most of the time.

Me too. I went to the ENT last week and they said I should look at hearing aids.

I bought a pair of EarPods pro and they have a hearing aid feature. I wear those when I need to hear better.

When someone reminds me of something I've completely forgotten about. It's the worst feeling....

[–] AskewLord@piefed.social 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

spilling things, slipping my clutch pedal, making typing errors, forgetting my keys/wallet, etc.

all that random stuff.

I bet you've never proofread anything as much as you proofread that comment. Just like I did this one.

[–] AskewLord@piefed.social 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

i don't really proof reading anything, unless it's something formal.

but on the flipside, i don't think anyone is stupid for making basic typos and mistakes or it's anything to attack/mock someone for.

[–] UncleArthur@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

My actions, mostly.

e.g. causing unnecessary conflict by trying to change someone's political views when I really should just shut up.

[–] barkybeak@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

When someone completely misses the point or context of the situation or scenario.
