Yo I need a new Boy Dinner community. Every time I see one of those Girl Dinner posts, always a tiny lil plate with like, a slice of cheese, a crouton and three grapes... I'm just like, who are you performing for? What is this post meant to suggest? WTF is this fictitious diet you're pretending to have??

My partner does that too. She'd say you didn't use nearly enough cheese but she also will just nom on a brick of cheese if she doesn't feel like cooking so...

You have a stove and cheese, you can make queso. The French call it Bechamel but the rest of the world knows it's dipping cheese sauce. Some butter and flour for a small roux, which is done after 5 minutes. Then mix in some milk and you have cheese sauce. Add spices to taste. Dip your Doritos in cheese sauce.

Crush a few of the Doritos into a fine powder and add the powder to your cheese sauce.

BTW, add shredded cheese after adding the milk, extra dipping goodness.

When you add cheese to a bechamel it's called a mornay sauce

Served in a provençale manner?

Yeah that's way too much effort for the time between Call of Duty matches.

This is boy dinner, not real dinner.

Ok totally doing this but hear me out today I used these with a simple salsa dip (salsa, beef, taco powder, cheese tops) which was fantastic.

So what if I dip the nuked doritos in the bechemel?

Also for the cheese sauce thinking garlic, salt and paprika with my white chedder

nuked doritos in the bechemel

My god. You have become the master. Go forth and spread the curd word.

We make nachos with Doritos (add cheese, refried beans, jalapeños, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sour cream) and call it "Trash Can Nachos". Definitely tasty. Not good for you at all, but 'eh. Gotta live your best life.

I learned the same recipe in college many years back. We just called it college nachos. It was honestly probably the healthiest thing we ate.

I like to put corn tortilla chips with Monterrey cheddar shredded over it in the toaster oven and melt the cheese.

It's super good.

I don't know how I never thought to try doritos.

I know what I'm trying next time I get doritos...

[–] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 3 points 2 days ago

Can't say I endorse the Doritos, but I can wholeheartedly suggest nuking a can of refried beans while the chips are in the toaster. Mix in some diced jalapeños (also canned) for a little kick. Easy dip. So much extra flavor for very little added effort.

[–] sad_detective_man@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 days ago

When boys do that, it's just called dinner

I’m sorry for your loss.
