Later in the interview, the former host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent clarified that he doesn’t “subscribe” to either major party. Paraphrasing W. E. B. Du Bois, he said both the Republicans and Democrats are “one evil party with two different names.”

But, that didn’t stop him from saying: “I f*** with Trump.”

Ok, so he's not conservative, he's just "both parties are bad." So he hasn't succumbed to the propaganda, he's just... succumbed to... the propaganda...

This is about as dumb as claiming that the US is not a democracy, because it's a republic. The level of ignorance required to make these statements unironically, is staggering.

It's not ignorance - it's a worldview where truth isn't real. Claims are not evaluated because that's not what claims are for. They're just how you perform loyalty to the ingroup, which is the only thing that has ever mattered to people stuck in the tribalist mindset.

That's all they think you're doing. That's all they think there is.

He knows. He has some pretty racist views about how people with more melanin in the skin are morally better.
