@winnipeg Winnipeg city council has a cell phone issue

When people take time off work to speak at city hall, council often won’t even listen to what they have to say. They’ll just spend that time on their phones (even the mayor!)

One time a citizen called them out for this, and the mayor chastised them, accusing that person of being disrespectful 🙄

It’s absurd. They’re blatantly ignoring the people they were elected to serve. At least pretend to care!
