(x) doubt
Chicago Bears
This was in response to having 2 coaches on his team being fired for non-performance reasons, and should he vet people out different. I'll tell you from being in leadership roles for over 20 years, there are no questions you can ask in an interview that will tell you a guy is going to violate a HR rule. These guys obviously did something stupid, and have never had issues before then, so there was no way for Flus to know they would do this. Not defending him for the on-field performance, but it sounds like when the issue showed up, he handled it correctly. That's all you can do, sometimes people suck and that's part of work and life.
I genuinely feel like while this is damning with faint praise, if we’re talking general HR violations rather than crimes, there are probably double digit NFL organizations looking the other way rather than firing these guys. Hell, look at how the Texans were handing out non-disclosures for Watson until he pissed them off.
I’d rather get rid of these guys now than learn about them in ten years, particularly if either of them were going beyond like, inappropriate remarks and such.
The emperor's new clothes look fantastic!
The fact he's still around is damning to the rest of the organization. Especially with the secrecy around Williams "resignation" and now another coach.
Flus needs to fire himself.
This guy gives off major r word vibes
Yeah, 5 wins and no real progress. Out friggin standing.
2 coaches fired for HR reasons is pretty outstanding
With da coach we went to back to 1 and 30 now.
George McCaskey, somewhere, watching the presser: “YES, WHEN CAN I EXTEND THIS GUY? HE UNDERSTANDS WINNING FOOTBALL”
As if McCaskey gets that excited about winning football.
It sounds ridiculous. And.
I would rather see coaches fired now than hear about a bunch of unethical and/or illegal nonsense that went on unchecked later.
That’s why coaches are being fired left and right
"We're 2 and 2 in the last 4 games and one of them was a close loss". Too bad they also count the other 4 games you booger eating moron.
The worst quote.
He's clueless.
As many terminations for HR violations as wins.
Shoot this asshat to the moon.
Why was this man hired?
"-ly bad"
Maybe the quote was cut off
Outstanding in the parking lot after getting escorted out
Matt Eberflus may be a nice guy and the locker does seem to respect him, but holy shit his PR skills are some of the worst I think I've ever had the displeasure of listening to.
This is a person so afraid of making anyone seem culpable that he just outright lies to himself and the fans any time he's asked a tough question.
He's been doing it all year and like, shockingly enough, it's made me think the dumbass McCaskeys were somehow smart for making Arians try to have a mock press conference if this is the type of shit they were trying to weed out.
I can’t stand this guy….
He’s not wrong. The coaches that were let go for mysterious reasons are now out standing in the unemployment line
Outstandingly bad. He missed the -ly bad there. Cant imagine how that locker room feels with the way players have been treated and these schemes have went.
He's got to go man, come on Bears do better.
Eberflus looks like he would be more relieved to be fired than anything at this point. He's clearly in over his head
I legit wonder at what point this is more about Poles just not admitting a mistake.
Oh it stands out
