Montez Sweat -> Falcons? (alien.top)

So apparently the falcons was ready to give them a pick and a extension in place. Also Sweat wanted to go to Atlanta because he had family there. It seems like Sweat will play a half a year for bears and go to falcons at end of season. Thoughts?

Aww that's so cute. Except dude is going to sign a FAT ASS extension here and that's really his only choice. Unless he wants to forgo probably 70 Mil guaranteed and risk injury/Down year. Which like most people don't, and I would like to ASSUME Poles traded for dude with the intent to get aggressive in negotiations

He is not going to leave. The Bears will just franchise tag him, if he doesn’t extend. And they can franchise tag him again the year after

Won’t happen. Worst case, the bears place the franchise tag on him. Best case, he signs the extension with us. Let’s use our brains on this guys.

Paying Sweat top 5 DE money for one year while trying to rebuild around a young QB is a pretty bad outcome.

Well, disregarding my feelings on the trade (I said I didn't want it before it happened and I don't like it any more now), we have a franchise tag available so he can't go anywhere if we don't let him

Why are people bending over backwards to make up scenarios then get extremely mad about their made up scenarios? It feels like people are upset that Poles didn't trade JJ and they're now looking for other reasons to call for his head.
